Default 89.99?

what a rip off!
if you need weight you might consider the left side of the car between motor & servo. And if you don't mind spending a little money try a 4 wheel scale.

I am hoping this is a sarcastic comment.... I can't think of another chassis out there that can be as competitive for the price. The upgrades I suggested might tack on another $10.....

I'm currently running a Tamiya TT-02s (with upgrades) in VTA. I am using oil filled gear diffs with 500,000 diff oil in front and 3000 diff oil in rear. The car seems to lack a little forward acceleration out of the corners. Since this is the first time I've raced a car with oil-filled diffs, any advice would be appreciated.

Obviously I may need to work on my setup in other areas of the car. RIght now I'm curious to find out what other people are using for their diffs and how the different weights affect handling in VTA.

Any particular reason why you're running two different viscosity oils? Is that what Tamiya recommends? With the winter temps we're experiencing 500k cst oil is probably acting like molasses compared to 3000.

This is typical when racing on carpet. In fact, most run a spool in front rather than a diff.

Spools typically weigh 9g to 14g close to the center of rotation, while tamiya diffs weigh in between 28g to 32g with more weight farther away from the center of rotation: huge acceleration difference.....

500k to 1 Million is typical on the front diff in VTA at our track. You generally want the front diff to be stiffer than the rear diff. Also at room temp 500k probably thicker than molasses. I have to put my 1mil in boiling water before i can use it.

There is more than just acceleration. If you have more turning speed you don't need as much acceleration particularly on a technical track.

I think he read it like I read it the first time through - that the weight and upgrade kit was $90 . . . which would be a ripoff since they should be $10.

I ran 2 diffs in Associated TC6.2s and Xray T4s for years and always ran 2 million in the front diff, rear varied based on home track grip....usually around 3000-5000. This gave the car a no-slip front drivetrain, both wheels get full grip full time...no spin from the inside wheel. I've considered trying it on my MTC2.

How are racers mounting racer figures in their car if it’s required?

I do it both ways... I like to mount it in the car, so just in case I want to run a different body
