Default Battery

Can anyone tell me what lipo battery would be best for my touring car. Track is 100 x 50. I'm running brushless 17.5 and tekin ESC or Novak GTB. Might also run oval also with the touring car in a NasTruck class. What does the 60c stand for on the battery labels?

It's supposed to stand for the continuous discharge current. So, of the battery's capacity was 5000 mAh, 60C would be 300A continuous. However, once you get above about 40C, they are just marketing numbers. The solder connections and plugs can't handle that much current without melting.

Find a pack you can afford, since most of them are sourced from a small number of factories in China.

Aren't most NasTruck oval cars pan cars? Also, most oval series that I'm aware of run 1s LiPo.

Hey there Carbon Joe,

I run at the same track as BrianH28 does, and our Nastruck rules are using our club rules,
1) any touring chassis that does not have a left side battery placement.
2) 17.5 brushless motor, 2 cell lipo
3) spec tires (Sweeps I believe)

And thank you for the explanation of the c rating. I use an Onyx 5000mah 25c lipo for our Nastruck series and it works fine for me.
