Im new to the sport, and have purchased my first car to start getting into the sport(Drift). The problem is the guy i bought it from doesn't remember what all he has.
Can you help me identify this drift chasis?

Looks like a Tamiya TT01 with the Eagle Racing Carbon Chassis

it looks to be a tamya tt-01 with some sort of eagle racing conversion(cf chassis).

i had done a bit of research on the Eagle chasis upgrade, but couldnt really find an answer either way. Would it matter the special code? as in TT-01D or any of the other variants when ordering parts? Shocks are the first on my list

i was told that the Front engine layout ment something different. Is this true?

Most parts wouldn't matter. Some parts might be specific to the Eagle Racing conversion chassis though, I'm not sure since I don't have one. Any of the TRF shocks would work or the Tamiya 50519 if you don't want to spend money for the TRFs.
