Hi all, some good discussion here.

Just another thing to check, if you are using scales, be absolutely certain that the front wheels are dead straight ahead. A little turn to the left will weight the LF and RR and steering to the right has quite obviously the opposite effect.

cheers

I am curious, does it matter, if the car is not placed directly centered on the scale's pads of a 4-scale system? and WHY?

The accuracy of some scales is affected by where the load is placed on the pad. Also, if the pad isn't flat, ie dished to keep things from rolling off, you can affect the readings if one tire is on a higher part of the scale.

I fixed my scales to a small sheet of aluminium, then I placed the chassis on the scales exactly where I wanted it to sit, then with a black magic marker, I marked around each wheel so when I place the chassis on the next time, its where I want it.

cheers
