Default Material used on ON-ROAD tracks

Hey Gentlemen,

Im trying to find out what most tracks use for railing systems?

I will be creating my own disc in 3 sizes

6,8, 10 inch diameters...

So i need ideas and suggestions as to what tracks use....

Oh I'm asking because i want to build a mobile system for parking lot racing!

Thanks

Daryl

Most tracks use old fire hose as a divider between lanes and can be laid out different ways and when you are done you roll it up and put away!

Most use PVC pipe- 2". If you have someone that is a plummer so you can get it a wholesale prices that's better. You'll also need a blower, for traction the easiest thing is Grape or Orange cheap soda. Just put a hole in the top and spray it on the track surface. Or get a sprayer and apply it that way. For disk- if you know a farmer get some worn out plow disk.
Most important thing is where are you going to park your trailer during the week?

Old shipping rope works a treat also for tempory tracks, we use it for laying out drift car courses on a basketball court. It can be found cheeply and is just rolled away when done, has no ill effects on cars when they hit it as it absorbs the impact. The stuff i am talking about is about 3 inches in diameter and is used to hold container ships to the port.
