K, thanks. I asked as I wasn't sure if it mattered that the 3600s have such a low IR. I was afraid maybe the batteries would dump all their power so fast that they wouldn't even last a whole race with a power sucking modified.

I have bought a pretty good pack over here in Japan of the new IB 3600 cells

393 Run time
1.9~2.0 IR
1.172 voltage

but I belive that some of the TEAM Drivers have cells that will make these look silly voltage wise... run time should be about the same

Actually the cells are 1.16-1.17 at 35 amps with the majority of our packs in the mid 1.16 range. The highest voltage would probably be 1.176.

For all of you who think team drivers get the best are mostly wrong. We will only save cells a few weeks before a major race the rest of the time we sell everything we match up so our best cells are out there.

That's the nice thing about dealing with a company that matches in such high volumes and has such tight controls...

you don't have to hold ALL the good cells..you see enough of them that you can let some get out to us 'regular people'

Windsorguy: Yes you understand but many would like to believe that team guys have special cells which isn't the case. When they ask for packs we send them what we have in stock. At the major races we save the top 2% cells or so a few weeks in advance.

Hey Danny,

i have run my new IB cells....the first time i run this cells they where so so...but after some charge (4-5) they are really good...i can compared it to my really good 3300 but with more run time at the end!! lol

what i m doing is after i finish my run i discharge my pack at 3.6 for a 4cells and 5.4 for a 6cells and after that i put it on my novak smart tray to equalize each cells at 0.9.....next week when i use this cells i put the pack on my new integy tray for 5min and after that i charged it at 7amp...i know you recommended to charge it at 6...but i m too affraid to be short in time before the race!

The IB 3600 cell can take a charge a 7amps without any side effects or damage down the line.. this cell likes heat!! ....

What do you think about using the Novak Smart Tray to bring the cells down before charging ?

I've seen Hara's GP3700 battery (from the recent TITC Cup) for sale on my friend's LHS and has 465 sec with 1.199 and 1.200 average voltage Still not sure if it's true

Unless you know the details about how they are cycled those numbers unfortunately don't mean anything other than giving a baseline for comparison with other cells using the same methods

Also a question on the new ib3600 compared to gp3700, which are the best to spend $'s on? As a stock racer, would gp3300 still be the best at a 6a charge & 20a discharge? Or would I be able to charge at 7a & discharge at 30a, seeing that with 3700/3600 I would still make runtime? Thanks for your comments guys!!
