I think I've been to both. RC Champ for sure. Dropped over 2 grand there one time. Super-Rc....is that the one up on the 2nd or 3 rd floor....You have to go under that one highway to get to, right?
Now that's how a hobby shop should be. Plenty of parts...plenty of parts....plenty of parts....of everything. .

Default ib3600 abuse (off road)

i went to the track saturday to abuse my new ib 3600's just to see what would happen. i started runninng at 1pm for practice. i ran the pack then discharged at 30 amps, then put on a novak tray at a .9 cut off. i let the battery cool for 30 minutes (1 hour recommended by someone here) then recharged at 6 amps. races started at at 5pm. ran 2 qualifiers and the main with the same pack each time(7 runs total that day). i was very impressed. i did feel a slight drop in punch but overall still at the end off my main was able to clear a very large jump that i had not been able to clear in past practices sessions after 5 minutes running 3300's with a 12x2.
i'm not sure what this is going to do for the lifespan of the pack, and pobly won't do it again, but i just wanted to see what would happen.
after the race, i let the winner of the a main drive my car to see what he thought. he was amazed!
hope everyone else is having the same experience with these cells as i am.

If your concerned with keeping the runtime as high as possible then using them once per day is reccomended.

Also if you plan on using them each week then storing them at .90 per cell is fine but if you plan on storing them for multiple weeks you should put back 300-500 seconds of charge in the pack. The when you go to use it the next time place it on a tray. I really like the Duratrax 20 amp discharger or Integy 0-30 tray these are real easy to use.

So what am I doing wrong. I am charging at 6 amps, discharging a set of bulbs w/ a cut switch. Then I put them on a novak smart tray at .1... At this point, I think these batts suck. I can't even get them to work in 12th stock. I have lost lots of punch by the 12th lap, and there is no way I can make run time. My GP 3300's are working great. With these I don't even have a problem in mod.

The TurtleMan-How many charges did you have in them when they went soft on lap 12?
They take 3-4 charges to come to life.Mine are incrediable as well.
Are your cells SMC matched or did you buy unmatched cells???

RCknight-What 3800's?The fluke of a cell Trinity is advertising.NO thanks.

can anyone please comment on SMC matched packs runtime? do you get anything close 400 sec ar 30 amps? read some posts above, i have unmatched cells, and the runtime is really short, only 370 secs with capacity of 3100, and no more.

And they will not in production at this anytime soon.

Default IB3600'S

i have matched and un matched ib3600 and 3300 cells, the punch is great, lasts forever and even though sometime the numbers look a little funny in the charge cycle of my ce t35gfx i get around 11-12 mins 12th scale with a 19t geared 31x96. i can practice for 2 or 3 mins after the heat if i want. my gp's dump in around 9 min. i really dont run t/c much so i cant comment on a heavier car or 6 cells. i charge a 6 amp dual peak, and only discharge on the gfx to 3.6v at 35a. DO NOT DEAD SHORT it makes the batteries very unhappy.

I don't think you're going to get much more with unmatched, unzapped cells.

I have a pack like that and I get great performance but not quite as much runtime as I would expect with matched cells.

I also don't expect them to last as long.

Correct me, Danny, but here's my thought as to why - with an unmatched pack, we're reversing at least one cell in the pack (the low cell) near the end of the run as the other cell still have punch but that one doesn't - this drops the other cells as they "charge" that cell. This lowers the life of the pack since that cell is going to deteriorate because of it.

So 370 may not be too bad. . .

well, with my unmatched gp 3300s i get normal capacity like 3200-3300, of course with avergae voltage being low, but with intellect something is strange.. btw, running on track unmatched IBs i didn't notice any longer run time...
