Dave elaborate or show a pic please-I have never seen a dedicated battery warmer. I am starting to run mod so i dont care about warmng up the cell-but I also still race stock and thats where I can see this battery warmer being big-big-big.

Thanks,
Ray

Word from Danny and Josh is they perform better with multiple charges in a day. MIN 1 hour rest between runs is last I heard from Danny. I have run mine three times in a day no problem. First practice at 8:30am-first qualifier at noon and Main at 4pm.

Ok....

here is some pictures i got cycling Intellect not matched batteries on my futaba cdr-500... very interesting indeed.
the 2 cycles you will see were made the same day, after a few hours brake. the cells are brand new and these are their 2-nd and 3rd overall cycle..

during the first cycle i charged battery ant 5 amps, second charge - 6 amps, discharge 30amps.

This is first charge 5 amps

Discharge 30 amps

Second charge 6 amps

Discharge 30 amps

and this is both discharge pix merged into one:

Charging at 5 or 6 amps didn't give any difference in discharging, ar the end of discharge, packs get extremely hot!!! over 80 celcius degrees!!!! but very interesting, that i could only charge them up to 4000 mah, take out of them only approx 3100 ??? and runtime of 370 secs with 0.8 cut off...

what do you think? and the voltage does not hold still as you can see...

Danny , any comments? i'm still waiting from you information on shipping, i'm ready to buy some 10 packs, please let me know ASAP.

p.s. edited for temp, my fault, charging at 6 amps get hotter.

Just to give you some info, but I've heard many bad things about this CDR5000 charger such as poor reading, unconsistant numbers, inaccuracy, etc etc... Maybe you can test them with Turbo GFX?

GFX Test & Record Breaker/Fortress Test in the works should have some data to post in the next couple of days 3 Stage charging vs single stage charging...also all with 35A discharge slopes..

Seems you have a lot to test but everybody want´s seeing your results Dave.
Just got my IB3600 cells in after nearly 3 weeks of shipping. But no race for testing in the next 3 weeks.

the cdr5000 is the best charger i have ever used.. i have cycled over 300 packs on it and its far from inconsistant. whoever started that rumor is wrong.

I have great hopes for this cells future since the Japans market cell keeps getting better and better I would have to say that Dannys IB cells would have to be doing the same if not better.... this is my cell of choice in 17T and up Racing... anyways.. the 4 packs that I will be testing all have the same run time and voltage +~- 2 seconds & +~- .002 voltage 2 packs have over 15 charges each and the other 2 are new...so this test will show some what of what happens to the cells after quite a few runs testing will start in about 1 day

Just out of curosity, what shop are you getting your cells at? My brother is making a trip to Akihabara next weekend to pick up a couple things for me. What's the going price on the 3600's?

Try Champ or Pro Shop Futaba.. but better hold on to your hat.. they cost about 89~135$ Street Price in Japan.. but there are only a few shops that have the SMC 3600IB cell in stock right now

ProFutaba isn't in Tokyo city at all. If anyone going to Akihaba, I would recommand these 2:

Super-RC (www.super-rc.co.jp ) Map

RC Champ ( www.rc-champ.co.jp ) Map

They are both at Akihaba, about 10mins walk from JR Akihaba station (the cross building on lower part of map).
