I run both GP's (assembled by someone else) and IB3600's I put togther in my TC4. The GP's require me to raise the posts for attaching the holddown brace. Weighed the packs as well, the IB's weighed 400g and the GP's 398g assembled, tho that could have been the solder work +) I used alot more solder on the IB's than the guy who built the GP's.

Got around to cycling my first pack of IB cells. I like them, I like them alot.

I'm gonna run a bunch of them this weekend.

<disappears into the shop to build more IB packs>

Hi there!!!
I tried the IB's last weekend. Got two packs to try.
Hm, runtime is ok compared to GP 3300's, but the
voltage is not good. Compared to the upgrated
3300's they were slower in 5 minutes TC mod. racing.
The IB's got soft at 1,5 to 2 min. and heated up a lot
compared to the GP's.

Its maybe a good 12scale cell, but anyway, the GP 3700
will kick ass anyway

The IB3600 we have been testing is very fast on the track. That being said the first few cycles are not the best. As I have said before we have the latest batches of IB cells and from my understanding IB has been working real hard to tweak the cell.

Well, Danny, IB is a new cell and they just
started doing this. Maybe with some more
research and some upgrates they will get
into the competition with GP. Who knows?!

Fact is, that they can not compete with the
new GP 3700's.

?? Maybe GP needs to go back to the drawing board on there 3700 cell because I really don`t see where 20 grams more a 6 cell pack and 30~40 seconds over there 3300 cell is going to do that much good ( in stock class ) .. and besides the new cell is just too dang big... who knows..?? but I do remember when the GP cell (3300) came out it wasn`t all that but they were able to fix it rather fast... but over all the IB cell performs very well and I will be looking forward to better stuff from them in the following year

But this is just my take on it

Whats your point dude??
Its not only the runtime of the GP's, also
the IR and voltage is much better.
We had samples here with 1,1 IR!!!

What do you mean, it does not fit in your
car?? Well, in my cars it fits. Make them fit
than.
And whats the problem with the weight,
on my 415 I had to add 100 grams extra
with GP 3300's!!

My Point?

Well everybodys Cars are not equal in weight... so the paper weight 415 might be great for the 3700 GP cell but not so Great for a lead brich TC4 as far as weight might be..ect ect ..
and as cell not fitting..?? let me clear it up a little It will fit..but it will not sit in the battery slot correctly due to the increased DIA of the cell... . .. and as for performance wise I have tried the 3700GP and the Intellect and hands down the IB 3600 has way more punch.... (stock racing).... but the 3700GP cell didn`t feel bad.. but it just falt like a 3300GP with more run time.. who knows..... This is only my thoughs on this cell.. I`m sure that Others will chime in here on there Views & Testings

just take it at face value
-Dave

He Dave
I do not want to start a stupid discussion and
destroy someones vieuw of something.
Everybody has to pick that, which he thinks
its right.

Hm, why don't you dremel your battery slots
of your TC4 than. Thats not a problem.

MrBlonde: Guess you have gotten special GP3700 samples if you have seen 1.1 IR. The production cells we have seen are 2.2-2.5..

We will be putting on a race sometime in April and we will have our top drivers attend this race. This race will be open on cells so if someone wants to race IB3600 , Sanyo 3600 or GP3700 they are welcome. SMC drivers will be using IB3600 and guess we will see if what we claim is true or not. When Josh Cyrul who has done the majority of our testing says that the IB3600 is a fast cell then it must be good.

Danny,

Yup-same here. First charge-whicked punch for about a 45 seconds then it flattened out and ran forever. 2nd charge-punch lasted a lot longer and when the peak was gone-it wasnt as flat as the first charge. Sadly thats where it ended-I never got to run them on the third "wake-up" cycle last night. I cannot wait till Sunday to run them.

A: there is a size problem with the 3700's that will KEEP THEM FROM BEING LEGAL at both IFMAR and ROAR - soley due to size. IB doesn't have this problem since they are already legal size.

B: Dremel my TC4 battery slots? So I can use a battery that won't make certification? Are you NUTS?

C: The first GP's sucked. They had no punch at all (still have one of those packs). So if initial reports are showing these new IB's to have anything NEAR decent punch and runtime, they've already got TWO legs up on GP3700's. . .

I picked up an unmatched set just to mess around with (from HK - thought I would have them like TWO weeks ago so I could play. . .shoulda just picked up a pack from YOU Danny, I would have been running them by now )

Think about this-my buddy and I were tallking about the IB's last night and Danny's and IB's commitment to make the bes cell on the market.

Look how amazingly good the IB cell is ALREADY!!! The gP 3300 when it first hit the market we thought was the bomb and it was. And they were 1.14 and 1.15 voltage at 30 amps. The IB right out of the gate is 1.169++ at 35 amps with 390++ runtime at 35 amps. Thats sick!! Just think what gen2 and gen 3 and gen4 will be like!!
