Hmmm, never heard that before. I never really cared for the cross cut stuff though. The 4499 and 4503 are my fav brushes from trinity.

I have heard that they are discontinueing the 99 plus compound and that they are changing the 4499 compound to have more silver and adding the 4499p which is a 4499 with p-94 size serates.

The part # RC4499NT will not change but the brush make up or "compound" will change to the 4503 "99" Plus compound and the 4503 part number will be discontinued.

What you know as the 4503 will become a 4499.

This what I have been told regarding these brushes any other thoughts as I have some 4503's on order and have been told what is writen above

I talked to Dave, head of OEM sales at trinity....and he says the 4499 is staying how it is, and the 4503 will remain....

Thanks for that info, as there are so many rumours being banded around and that I cannot get any 4503's anywhere as everyone seems to be out of stock of them so im a bit sceptical when there are none of these brushes in the shops

David head of OEM sales for Trinity said NOT TRUE on any of what has been posted and will be on here to make a statement of the rumors.

Hey All, I have received quite a few e-mails on this topic. There will be no discontinued brushes in the near future. All of your brush options will still be available including the new XXX Brushes in all three brush dimensions.

I used to be a fan of 4499 you might want to consider the Reedy 767.

They seem to put up with more, are not as harsh as the 4499s, plus they are cheaper.

I agree with you with regards to these 4499 brushes and they do not have the grunt that the 4503/04/05's have. I have had some 4503's on order since december but my suplier has been told they are being phased out and that the compound is being retained and that the numbers 4503/4/5 are being droped and that the 4499 is being continued with the 4503/4/5 compound. I do hope all this makes sence, but at the same time very frustrating as i am paying a fortune in the uk for these 4503 brushes
