Default XRAY T3 2012 motor & esc

I just bought the Xray T3 2012 and just wanted some input on best 17.5 motor and Esc to run.

Boosted. Im new to this been racing scte for 3 months and I heard on road, is where it is at so I bought a new Xray. Motor and esc dont know what 2 run everyone tells me diff things. I think Im leaning to REVTECH. I dont care the cost just want the best. Thanks for any input.

You are thinking right in my opinion. Since you can run it boosted I like an ESC thats easy to program. The LRP SXX and the Tekin RS are both killer ESC's with either a Reedy or Revtech motor, you'll have some killer speed. The LRP might be slightly smoother power delivery, but I can't tell a difference.

I myself run reVtech motors in all classes. they are about the best motor out there. My speed control is the HobbyWing Xerun v2.1. Very very smooth speedo in both boosted and blinky in case you ever run blinky. This combo works very well for me, I as well run an Xray 2012 and im always at the top of the pack with this setup! Hope this helps!

Smile T3 2012 Korea

one of the first ones
have had a lot of fun with the wiring, been racing at the local circuit.

telemetry sensors have been installed and the wiring has be tidied up a little,

balance is pretty good and the battery is a 6600mah,
LRP SXX version 2 with boost on level 3,
drag brake 10,

Motor is a LRP 10.5T, do a bit of road bashing, but on the circuits its a wizz.

Servo is Hitec 7845mg
650cst oil for the shocks and wheels are a bit of a combo, soft at the rear for more grip coming out of corners.

next to the T3 is my little M chassis,

Anyone have any good tyre suggests for carpet tracks??

Thanks for the feedback. i heard mixed reviews about the LRP SXX version 2. Is it easy to program and reliable. Like the REVtech or rs pro or orion esc.

Rs is best, but I guess can set you back another kit, LRP Has very smooth drive, bit like butter to the wheels, last week they released the USB interface to update the firmware. I was considering the Orion r10' but they LRP has a few more options

I have a RX8 in my scat now, my plan was to go with the rs pro or orion, but if LRP is the smoothest ESC thats what I want, and yes I saw the 1 with the firm wire. So LRP it is??????? Want to go get 1 asap.

if you have the tekin hotwire - go with the rs pro? wont need to shell out for a new usb device etc...

but if its cash you have to splash - get both and sell one after testing..
