You can't beat our GTB2-X for spec racing, but our EDGE 2S and Club are affordable and tiny. We are discontinuing our Mongoose esc, due to component availability.
Ooh baby, I like the look of the club...

I have been running silvercans since the early '80's with no problems at all. Two weeks ago I smoked the first one ever. After looking at the car I picked up a 26T pinion by mistake instead of a 21 that I always use with a standard 48pitch. If you are going to use a silvercan on a Tamiya F1 it may be the 23/24 tooth you want in most cases but it depends on the track. The sad part is that the silvercan is going away for F1. If possible see if your track will run no more than 5 or 6 minutes and open all the vents on the front and above the driver to keep it cool. Go have fun no matter what motor you have.
I park faster than most people drive.

Just swapped out a Novak edge for a gtb 2 lp xdrive. Both escs fit in the fgx without a problem although the gtb 2 is a little bigger. It has a larger cap too so you need to get that settled in there. Again no fit problems with either.

As far as performance they both run great. They are both very tuneable. They both had the same lap times but the gtb 2 felt smoother. I wasn't any faster but I was more consistent.
