Well, that's four new posts after the thread being dormant for almost a month. Mission accomplished! :-)

I'm not sure where these rumors come from, as no one has asked myself or anyone else that works at CRC, but to put the truth out there, these tires ARE BELTED.

If anyone has any questions about these tires, feel free to ask the people that actually know what is going on. You can PM me, call CRC (315)-338-0867 or email me [email protected].

I looked a bit more into it, and it turns out the front suspension plate is designed to extend the wheelbase, in order to match the Speedpassion LM-1 (but running standard tyres). Which I believe makes it too long for WGT rules? It's too long for BRCA GT10 rules, anyway...

With the simple bolt-on plate to mount the front suspension, it wouldn't been a big deal to make one for the correct wheelbase. Also, ROAR WGT rules are a tertiary concern at best. There is a new day on the horizon!

Yeah, easy to convert back to regular wheelbase, but it's a $28 part, and would make the body either fit poorly, at best, so it's that much less of a good deal...

New day on the horizon? Are you folks in the US adopting BRCA GT10 rules?

Hey Brian Wynn - Joe Myers here...

I asked somewhere the other day, but these tires are EVERYWHERE right now, so I don't recall where I asked... but will there be a PRE-MOUNT available for these tires? (I hate mounting /gluing tires - I suck at it, unless they mount like Foam OVAL Tires where I can TRUE away my mistakes. )

cool thing w/ these tires will be, as a "Bolt On" Option - for those of us who use and know foam...if we need FOAM for a certain track or what ever...it's not a major change, other than maybe ride height (I haven't seen a Diameter yet, so I'm not sure of that) --but personally I run pretty short Foams everywhere I run foams (because it's what I have)

Joe,

I was on the CRC site earlier today and they will be offered as pre-mounts.
I think that I read that the height was going to be 2.45", which is around 62mm

Yes, pre-mounts will be available. We are expecting these to be a huge seller and the standard for handout tire races in the future. The diameter is 2.45" front and rear which is inline with the F1 tires that are already available.

WGT Rules need some revision. Lots of typos...
I'd like to know where I can get some .075" width tires mounted on .75 " wide wheels.

I am still trying to get my head around the maximum and minimum wheelbase specs. LOL!

Jorge,
I agree. How can a class with "GT" in the name not include bodies of rear engine/rear drive cars, such as the quintessential GT car, the 911 and all of its iterations?

See the list of bodies we're using in the UK on the 3rd page here (PDF)...
