Default ESC's

Just getting back into the game here and want to upgrade my ESC. I have a Novak GTB ESC now and want to upgrade. I'v been reading the Tekin RS forum and like what i'm reading. I'v also been looking at the Mumba ESC. What should I buy?

You'll save $20 with the Mamba but it's larger, heavier doesn't have a very robust BEC and you can use up to 6S batteries (making the BEC even less robust) but it is less expensive.

Depending on what you're going to run will really make the choice for you, BUT, remember that you can trade that speed control in at NOVAK for the newest one out there.

Other may offer the same trade in deals too.

Is this a 17.5 blinky class? There are about 3 options but the best bang for the buck is the Havoc Pro SC. It just doesn't have a boost or turbo option but does advance timing.

Check out the web site, http://www.teamnovak.com and if you have any technical questions contact Charlie, [email protected] he can help you out .

The Havoc Pro SC is a good ESC, but its pretty big. It does have "boost" (meaning RPM-referenced timing advance) but no "Turbo" (meaning time-referenced timing advance). If you are as confused as I am about the nomenclature, I blame Tekin (who make a damn fine ESC but confuse the hell out of us).
