It might be the FK with the chassis from the EVO2!

Are there any other indications that this is a prototype?
What are those?

Nick,
Common my friend, what else do you want as a proof that a new car is comming up?
Pics are not allowed
Rear pulley is on the right side,

Motor is way out on the left side

Batts are on the right side
(I assume you think they used the configuration like they did in the past, in Lostallo for example in 2002, but I am sure they did not)

I'm not assuming anything! I'm waiting for pictures or someone to say the new car has that, can do this etc

Until then...... waiting

You have been at the worlds and they were testing there too. They might just doing the same.

We will find out!

Nick

We were piting right next to the X-Ray guys at the DHI-Cup! I think there were about 6 X-Ray drivers using the prototype cars. (2x Myrberg, 2x Hudy, Jilles Groskamp and Soren Boy Holst)

This is the short version of what I saw:
> Motor placement similar to the 415 and RDX
> The long belt was slightly offset to the left, allowing the battery to be closer to the center (The short belt was centered and the long belt was to the left side of the short one.)
> All 6 cells on the right side
> Very narrow chassis

There was no reason to cover the car. It was the same good ól FK as always.
And there was no-one pitting next to us either.
I think the guys looked to deep in the Danish beer or something.
They just need something to write about I guess

Well don't come to me whining when Xray is releasing a new chassis with side-by-side packs..
I've seen the car, can probably count up around 20+ people who has seen it at a practice session in Eskilstuna.. And probably every guy who passed one of the Xray benches at DHI...

I can't really understand why this F***-ing secrecy must be used when a new car is coming, who the hell did lately see the Ferrari F1 team come to a race with a completely new prototype to the race and totally forbid photoing of the car?

I believe that most of these companies hide the cars till the last possible moment to prevent other teams from taking their ideas. Or at least keep them from taking them until they can get the car on the store shelves.

you don't remember i beleive 2 years ago when Mcclaren was wining and Michael would come in second, that Michael woudl hop out of his car and casually wonder by Kimmi's car and try an get a look at why Kimmi was beating him and how the McClaren engineers would just push him away. They do hide stuff even in F1. The difference is the audience that rc market sells to. Think of it this way. If you have a new car coming out in 6 months and released that it was completely new, how many would purchase the current model. New car manufactures are the same way. They hide the new model year to help with current car sales. Ferrari in F1 is not looking at trying to sell this year model F1 chassis, they are trying to hide the technology behind it. RC industry is trying to do both. There is very little in the way of new technology in rc chassis design, so any little new thing is a big thing.

I don't think it's the technology...they just don't want people to stop buying FK's (not that you can find them) and wait for the new car.

What do you think happened to XXXS kits once the JRXS was leaked? (bad example)
