Have the 3 cells left front (closer to middle), motor and esc left rear, servo and RX right front, and the other 3cells right rear. That way the car would still be very well balanced instead of having the cells all inline on one side.
Isn't that exactly how Josh had his set up???

No. I'm talking about a car similar to the 415 since that is what this car is suppost to be like. People were complaining about how a design with the batteries all on one side would throw the weight balance off. Having it similar to a 415 with a split cell chassis would keep the car balanced while still running a lower layshaft like the 415.

Is it legal to use 2nd gear ? It would be nice option to have 2nd gear at xray t1 transmission.

So that will be the second one that's an X Ray copy of a Corally.

Remember the Corally C4 that won the first Euros ?

Jups... Of course, it's still not an exact copy, but VERY close...

@Murfy: That's not one of the team cars, that's an amateurs old Evo or something... And do you think a Team driver would use a Tamiya pit towel, and Schumacher setup wheels with an Rpm cambergauge for setup? No, I don't think so either...

@taz5176: No, they used all batteries on one side and motors on the other. The drivetrain and spurgear is low, close to the chassis like on the Tamiya and Corally. Apart from that, it's the same as a Factory Kit more or less...

Those look like EVO2's ... and with the mounting position of the esc, and the height of the spur, it does not look like the prototype that everyone is looking for.

Oh well ... the mystery continues.

@duckman996: If you would have taken the time to read my post, there would be no mystery. I have both seen and touched the car, it's an FK with new layout. I was there and got 27th position, so to those of you who doesn't believe me, check it out

That is NOT the new prototype. I also had a look at it and its very similar to the corally in drivetrain layout, but suspension is the same as the FK.

No that would be the one Corally have now copied off Tamiya (415) that has not had half as many results as the Tamiya one. Now Xray have decided to try a similar layout with probably far more luck than Corally have. Rick

I wouldn't say that any Tamiya has looked very similar to the 1st Corally, and Corally actually had quite a lot of good results with the C4...

Then Xray copied...

1st- why is it that everyone screams about how unbalanced the TC#, XXX-S, YOK SD...ect. are and then when X-ray is supposedly gonna build a car with the motor & electrics on one side and batts on the other it's all well and good??

2nd- X-ray copiing off of corally?? Yes the c4.1 and the origional T1 looked alot alike, however there isn't much you can change when you you build a 2 belt tourer with pivotball suspension, and mono bellcrank steering. If they had gone with a more traditional bellcrank steering set-up then they would have been copiing off of the Ofna OB4 car??? let's see they both used Serpent suspensions, and shocks.... which dictates where the bulkheads have to be placed, and the suspension is designed with a mono bellcrank steering layout..... What was totally different about the 2 cars..... uhh....pricepoint??? the X-ray sold for around $100 cheaper in the states..... and still managed to deliver all of the preformance....
