I've been using the 60a version in 2wd short course on 17.5 and 8.5 with great results. In fact, I've switched all my ESC's over to Hobbywing/Speed Passion and couldn't be happier.

I have a 60a in an OFNA JL10e on a Novak SS Pro 13.5, an XeRun 80A in my Jammin SCRT with a Neu 1509 5200KV, and an XeRun 80A in a Losi 8ight Tekno with a 2200kv Tekno motor. I haven't had any trouble with a single one and the program card works awesome.

The only thing I would advise, is purchase the extra capacitor kit and replace all the wires with something high quality like wet noodle.

Good luck!

I've had an Xerun 120a for about two years & I wouldn't trade it for anything! I bought the esc only, not in a package deal. I then bought the 2 in 1 program box, then I bought the Novak SS17.5, SS13.5, and the SS10.5. They run perfectly on the Xerun.
The great thing about the 120a version is you can run down to a 4.5 motor I think. And with the 2 in 1 box, you can upgrade the latest super stock firmware. My motors have never run hotter than 135 to 140 degrees. ESC tems around 90 to 105 degrees.
The 120 comes with the 4 pack capisitors & I've never (knock on wood) had any problems.
And it also comes with 12 ga wire too. More than big enough.
Hobbywing is all I own! And all I'll ever own. They're just that good!

You might want to check Hobbypartz.com. They sell them as a package with the 2 in 1 box included.
Opps! My bad! I just check them & the only 120 system they have left is the 3.5 package. They do have a couple of 60a systems available though.
Happy shopping!

I really like Xerun 60A esc: very smooth and easy to setup with the portable programbox.
