Get a lcg chassis

he basically means a Rustler chassis to lower it

"Slash" and "on-road" just don't belong together...LOL...if you buy a Slash, why go "on-road"? If you want to do "on-road", why even buy a Slash?

I would start with changing the shock shafts, or search for after market shocks that are shorter. This will help lower the CG (center of gravity). Next would be tires, a nice set of on road low profile tires. I would look at some pro-line treads.

I would also look into SCALPEL racing. If I'm correct, they're slash 4wd chassis' that have been converted to on road beasts.

I am trying to make it on-road because no one seems to be interested in buying it and all I need to do to lower the CG is shorten the shocks and get the rustler conversion. And find a body that looks a little better on road. I already have an array of off road stuff so I figured I would broaden my horizons to something that is fun on the street (speed runs with my 1/8 buggy aren't amusing me anymore). So it comes down to why let it sit in my closet, when I can find another purpose for it.

I am gonna be the dead thread guy but I'm very interested in doing this. Is heavy wt shock oil better for on road applications?

I ran 60wt in mine.

Because it is different, you drive with alot of throttle control, it's fun watching the cars lean in the turns. Here in Florida, SC were raced in Melborne, Fl, there are chassis upgrades. In the ROAR Nationals. They were the JConcepts Scapel running on the track and there is a series down here.

People run slashes off road, why not on road? On road is like off road without the jumps.

You take the front bumper and flip it upside down. The rear body post can be lowered or moved in front do the rear shock tower. I did this for both a truck body and dirt oval late model body.

Does the front body mount have to be moved or modified for the body to work properly? Flipping the bumper seems easy enough. Anyone have pics of a slash with the on road body installed?

- 107872 Foam Bumper WR8 Flux (not sure how I'll mount it :D)
