Jaco Foams Question

Hi guys,

I'm going to the Snowbirds Nationals this year, i will run GTP stock, Touring stock and Touring 19t, wich coumpound should i use? Every place i race this year i use, for 1/12th, Double pink front, and pink rear. And for touring, double pink/orange and double pink.

What do you think about it?

Thanks

That's the same combination I am using for my 1/10th & it's equal to the trc combo of cyan/tan

Double pink is actually a magenta (35 shore)

For snowbirds a purple front would be more advisable then the dbl pink.

Your sedan combo is right on (Orange/Dbl. Pink and Dbl. Pink).

The Mod 1/12th guys were running Dbl. Pink fronts and Pink rears. I asked a few guys about this and they said they did it for more steering in the front and to stop the wheelspin they were getting with the Grays rears. Thats right...you can light up your tires in Mod 1/12th!

The winner of 1/12 Stock and most of the Stock field ran Purple front and Gray rears. The Purple/Gray combo was more free on the stupid high bite you get at the Birds'.

Mart42,

Adrian is right on about what all the JACO guys are running. In stock sedan purple rears and plaid fronts work too.

I found that Magenta fronts have way more bite than dbl pinks. I'm going to be trying them soon with pink rears, I need more front bite. Also Blacks seem to have the same shore (35). I'll be trying them too. Anyone have any idea how the blacks will be on carpet?

Crimsome-

What Magenta are you refering to? (CRC or Trinity)

Our Double pink is slighly softer then our purple and pretty much the same as the CRC Magenta.

Blacks work good in some cases, We do not offer them in our JACO line. I beleive CRC is the only one offering Blacks in 12th scale.

Korgae - Just a heads up. Make sure you correct the spelling of "Guaranteed" on all the tire pages. ;)

crimson eagle 01-11-2005 06:18 PM

Korgae,

The pinks and dbl pinks I used were both jaco's. I think the magenta's and blacks are CRC. I really like the jaco foam but I'm not happy with the front wheel's they are very fragile, I'm having trouble making them last more than a couple of meetings. I found the double pinks good but was just a little short of grip to get me around the slow corners fast enough. One of the guys was using grey fronts which he said worked very well, I think they were CRC's.

Thankyou for answering my questions korgae.

Any idea's when these new white wheels are to updated again. These new things are falling apart at the slightest hit. I have gone back the TRC, and most of the other drivers at the local track are trying the parma tires. (12th scale outsides on rears, and the inside bearing support on the fronts)

Korgae 01-12-2005 07:04 PM

We are having our plastic guy change the mix again to make them a bit softer, this will be the 3rd time we have changed the mix. should help with the cracking.. If it doesnt, we will be looking into doing a new wheel.

Any idea's of what you would like to see as for design?
