Default Hara's Twister

Is the ESC worth buying? Does it meet up to most of the top brands? GTX? GT7? The Quantum?

this esc is the last world champion (twister 2)......

even if you're talking about the older version it's a high end speedo and you cant' fo wrong with this.......

depending on the price you pay for this esc.....worth or not....

with 150 dollars you can buy the new novak gtx for example......it's lighter and smaller (just a little bit, but it is).....and doesn't need a setting device like the twister and ko propo speedos need....

If you consider an ESC a long term investment, the price of the Twister 1/2 shouldnt bother you, especially if you have other escs in KO's series since you can program all the same way with the PC linkup, of course.

Oh and not one Twister finished the worlds on top.. 2 Twisters finished on top... lets not forget none other than Hara himself came in 2nd at the worlds.

another question, I currently run a LRP F1Pro REverse, was 100 bucks, but, you think me getting this new esc will enhance performance of my car? I finally got to try out my 1.18's my car felt like 5x faster Whats a new esc going to do to help out? Or are esc's only pricey for size, weight, ?

nopz.......escs become pricey due to their improvements.....

i'm pretty sure you'll get better performance running a forward only competition ESC......it can be a LRP quantum 1 ou 2, KO Propo vfs series oh rada twister series (they're the same), NOVAK GT7 or GTX......

regarding the KO's and Hara's escs.......they come with a standard setup.....but you can set the esc up for the type of motor and track conditions you're running....to do this you must have the setting device handy.....there's a software and a cable that allow you to set the esc through the computer as well......

the twister 1 uses its specific controller and the twister 2 requires a different controller, there's not only one controller that works for both escs.....

check the esc and controller specs on KO website www.kopropo.com

Hmm.. $125 for a secondhand twister.

$130 for a brand new in box with warranty GTX from tower (they have $25 off orders > $150 at the moment).

Not a hard decision in my book.

One of OK's esc's are exactly the same as the Twister, not sure which though.
But SPeedtech has VFS-1 Pro for 219$ including programming device so you can program exactly what frequency you want on the ecs. I would take that over a GTX, especially since i blew up 2 Cyclone TC and 1 GT7...
