wow..this question seems to pop-up at every forum.

I have both cars, and to say that one is better than the other would be an understatement.

First, the 414 IS very sensetive to set-up changes. but not saying the T1 isn't. it's just the that the 414 is a little more tricky.

One other thing is parts availability, being in a country like the philippines, I had to wait at least two months to get a part for the T1, as for the 414 I just go to the loal distributor and get a part for the TA04 which is basically the same car anyway.

ON TRACK, they are fairly on par with each other in the hands of good racers, it all ends up on what is more important to you, a car which have good parts availability like the 414, or an exotic which is the T1.

More like a choice between a Ferrari and a Skyline GT-R.

you won't be dissapointed with any of them anyway. they're both top-class cars.

yah, it is his car, but then again, it is a "replica" anyway, since you are gonna get the same car he drove. that pic is from the tamiya website anyway.

I heard that car has lighter bulkheads and the improvised front swaybar setup, is that right?

lance: hmmm... interesting. i always thought that there were only 3 of us in the philippines that owned xrays. whats your location and where do you race. as to parts availability. we have very good sources that can get parts for us. basically each one of us have our own stash of parts enough to build another car from the car's chassis down to the smallest screw. as to hop ups, we also have almost everything except for the new parts that just came out.

Unfortunately, I don't race, not that I don't want to, but my schedule (and money) is divided from the hobby and school, and since I'm in architecture, It takes-up my time as well.

One other reason is, I don't have that much equipment, like good batteries and stuff, and being in Bulacan, traveling to a race is another issue.

But I hope in due time (when I Graduate I guess ) I could get to race with you guys

oh ic... anyway, there's a class called wacky where most of the guys are basically beginners with equipment not that of the highest caliber. i would suggest you try this class out. there are other racers in this class that also drive up from bulacan to capitolyo and pasay to race. if your worried about your equipment not living up to that of other racers. this class would definitely suit you. as to transpo, maybe you could pass by the track and meet the other racers specially those from bulacan. maybe you could hook up with them and hitch a ride the next time to practice or to race.

as with your T1, i can help you on that. i've been racing the car for quite a while now and the car is simply exceptional even in the stock form.

one thing i forgot to mention... bring your T1 to the track and know its true potential. its adjustabity will work wonders for you not to mention the convenience. as to response to setup changes, i am happy to say that its responds exceptionally well. as to comparison with the 414 i cannot really tell. i've never owned or raced a 414 on track.

I'll try to do that, maybe if my sked frees up. I usually read your threads at manila racers, and I'm really envious of you guys being able to race. usually when I have the time its not enough to race.

but maybe sometime I could get to watch you guys.
