Well now the link shows the car pic. Thank you.

Interesting car, looks far more serious than the HPI F10. Looks like the battery is mounted inline but off-center; not sure I like that. Everyone is putting the battery straight down the centerline of the chassis these days for perfect weight distribution.

How did you come across this picture? There must be some others out there on the net somewhere.

That's a Cup Racer turned into an F1, which is neat because it's another take on the 4wd F1 concept. Too bad there isn't competition or a class for this at the moment. Might be a good way to get F1 into some not-so-pan-car-friendly parking lot races!

Boy, I hope it's not 4wd! Tamiya tried that route with the F201 and it was never accepted by most of the F1 racers because it was 4wd and too complex and hard to work on. Real F1 cars are not 4wd!

If HPI want's to do a serious F1 car with fully independent suspension and inboard shocks with rocker arms, they should follow 3Racings lead and produce their own version of the FGX with RWD. I'm sure that Tamiya is looking at it.

Hope they don't use the stamp plate for the lower hingepin holder that bends with a light hit. Bad enough in a cup racer but its going to be worse in an open wheel f1.

I don't think its 4wd. Look at the electronics placement. The servo looks like it blocks the center where a shaft would go through.

The picture is 2wd. No shaft and no diff in the front housing.

I'd call it a nice response to the FGX. We could see see some very cool current F1 bodies that will end up working for both cars. It's already true for the wheels and tires.

the battery is offset because the motor is on the other side, ala TC3

They've used all the components off the cup racer only changed the bottom and top deck.

well, if its for real, I hope they work on that nose. Looks like they took the glasses and fake mustache off and stuck the rest on the car
