orion vst combo or lrp/reedy combo
Hello all,
I am looking to get a new set up for my new tc6.1 and I wanted to try something new. I have had many different setups on various cars but I have never tried Orion or LRP setups. I know many of you think Tekin is the best ( I cant argue with that) but I am looking to try something different, and something I have never had. Any experience and Info is appreciated. |

Well I am actually planning on running th 17.5 class, but I am still undecided about it. I was thinking that switching from VTA to mod would be a little more difficult then switching from VTA to 17.5. But that was very good info and I appreciate it

Orion for sure if your gonna run 17.5

Maybe this is a track size thing as over here on our large outdoor tracks the Hobbywing/Sp/Orion/Tekin are the speedy to get. I have just switched to the Orion from a Hobbywing and I like it more because its smooth and has awesome brakes. Try as i may I can't get the VST motor to go as fast as my old D3/Hw combo. One of the other R10 users has a SP v3 Screaming and the other a reedy sonic that is no slouch. I would stick to a D3 or V3 MMM for fast motors that can handle boost.
Or if you want to take a risk on some old stock Amains still have some of these. Gods knows where they found them but they are gun motors IMO. http://c0456141.cdn.cloudfiles.racks...xpduo2-175.jpg http://www.amainhobbies.com/product_...ess-Motor-175T |
Thanks guys, some good info. My track is medium size with only one good straight. So I like the sound of smooth with good brakes. Speed is nothing without control right??
