Default R/C Tech Live @ the 2005 Novak US Touring Car Championships

Hi all,

It's that time of year again, and we're heading back to R/C Tech's roots in Wisconsin for the 2005 US Touring Car Championships at Trackside Hobbies in Brookfield, WI.

The race is taking place this weekend, with practice on Wednesday and Thursday, qualifying on Friday and Saturday, and the mains this Sunday, the 9th.

I know that my coverage has slipped a bit lately with my new job and everything else, but I'm going to do whatever I can to get back on top of it in 2005, starting with this race. Tomorrow evening I have to leave for Vegas for a couple days at the 2005 Consumer Electronics Show, and then on Friday I'll be jetting over to Milwaukee for the weekend to keep everybody up to date on what's happening at the Novak.

Between now and Friday, I won't have updates, but I know many dedicated racers in the area who will be more than happy to post updates here. Keep checking this thread, and we'll have round-by-round live results throughout the weekend.

In past years I noticed they gave out door prizes etc. How does that work? Is there a raffle?

Yes we have a raffle for the Racers and then we will be selling raffle tickets for everyone. The Drawing is on Sunday and you must be present to win.

Everything looks great at the Track. Big props go to EVERYONE who helped. I would really like to thank Jamie T. CARPENTER EXTRODINAIRE!

See ya at the track

Please drive safe .... Gotta love snow

Drive safe....freezing black ice mix with slit and snow.....not even 4WD can handle that combo.

So who is everyone's picks this year??

I've got to go with my boy dirt... he's hungry to do well with the new sedan and I think he would have done much better in Cleveland had he not had an unforunate qualifying incident ...

Oh yeah, can't forget about Charlie... maybe he'll get 2nd or 3rd :P

Even though he's changed teams on us I bet Billy E. cranks it up for his first race back.
