I'm using the Battery Manager v2 and i'm very happy with it.
I use it for all my racing packs from 3300 to 4200.

Easy, The Trinity is a cheap copy cat.

The BatMan V2 is the original, improved and reduced in price.

Before I decide to pay the shipping for out of the country to get one of these, I need to know if there will be any other dischargers I will need as well for Ib4200's. In other words will the batman v2 be sufficient enough by itself?

The BatMan V2 is more than enough.

The only other option is one of thos Lightning Wave or Much More individual cell dischargers. Or one of those equalizing trays.

My concern is cell reversal. As this system is discharging as a pack, and not as cells, if you've got a badly matched pack i wouldnt be to confident on this device.

You can set the cut-off voltage from 0.8 to 1.0 volt.

If this causes cell reversal, your pack is really really bad. You will probably not use the pack anyway.

Well, you're right. It still does the same thing.

But the V2 is addictive. Once I had used the V2 it's use is so much better.

You get all the information you want in just a glimpse at the display. And to see if it's finished you can look at it from a distance and not having to read the display to see if it is finished.

It may not sound that much. But RC life is just a tad better with the V2

A question re the BM. Which is the most effective way to use it? Discharging a fully charged battery (which takes forever) or first discharging the battery on your charger and then applying the BM?

You could use it to discharge a fully charged pack but that is not what it is intended for.
The best use it to discharge your pack after racing and again shortly before charging.

Only when I'm in a hurry I discharge the remaining capacity on the ICC.

Thanks! I like to use it between heats so that my 1st battery will be discharged on the BM and be ready for the final, but I find that the BM is still discharging as there is still plenty left in the battery after the 1st race. Is it better to use it when you cycle your batteries between race days?
