Questions for you guys with the Switch. Is that the HPI Switch? If so how do you like it? I've been wanting one to play around with.

It's crap. Our lhs sells them for $99 as RTR. I knew it was crap but thought it was like crapper then an m05. And at $99, figured it can't be that bad for mucking around... It's a POS. Buy a bog stock m05 kit/rtr and it'll be 100x better. Or if you can get an m03 that's your best performing car out of the box.

it doesn't like the SWB configuration... MWB or LWB would work better.
need to upgrade/modify the steering system to get all the slop out
buy the damper upgrade or fabricate the mounting plate yourself (springs with no dampening is not fun)
buy or custom install a sway bar set as well.

was able to get mine to run decently with a 13.5 (no boost)... never raced it though coz i was running an M05 and Xevo at the time and they were heaps better and more reliable.

Exactly, so why bother? Why not just buy a cheap M05 kit/RTR? They can be bought for something like $130.

From memory the damper kit for the switch is about $60.

because i had one.

for the damper kit, i fabricated the rear suspension mount out of an old F104 t-bar i had and wasn't using (sold the F104 already), used a cheap set of 3Racing dampers which i already had for fooling around with the Xevo, screws, shims and locknuts which i had a lot of anyway.

for the swaybars, i got an old set of red and yellow swaybars from a 2nd hand TA05 which i bot and eventually sold, and, again, spare nuts, bolts and thingamajigs. cut out the sway bar retainer from left over lexan trimmings.

what can i say... i was bored at the time. hahahahaha!
