There was somebody that was doing a re-release TOJ, does anybody know who that was? I would like to buy a couple when I can. I have a RC12i with the mono shock front end that needs a new body. RoyU was nice enough to help me on part of that. Thanks again Roy.

Also does anyone know of how to obtain the small 1/12th scale driver figure that we had to use back in the day?

I'm using the driver figure Tamiya makes for their 1/12 GT-01 RC cars. The Tamiya part number is 9225088. When I'm done with my track, I'll insist on open cockpit Prototype bodies only, with one of these driver figures in the car. I've done up three so far and they look so cool. The new Tamiya RM-01 also comes with a driver figure that looks to be a lexan body with an ABS head.

Either way, it may not make the car any faster, but they sure look a lot better when their racing with a driver figure.

Over driver:

I believe that nothing can be sexier and timely correct that those Parma drivers.

Just a note... in the background... a "monocoque" chassis that my father start to build for me.
1mm of aluminium bended and Tig welded... Fathers normally do thing we sons discover when it's too late....

Over the Toj.
I do prefere the Bakaguyjean ones.
I've always found the original Associated one, the best one. There were other ones (schumacher for instance) with the driver moulded in, that look to me way less definited.

The real car...

One of my LHS's had a big box full of old 1/12th bodies...mostly AE and Mcallister TOJ bodies but I did find a Corvette GTP I'm pretty sure they still have the box around.

If you look to left in that first pic, you can see a TRC Pro-10, I'm building to around a 1990 spec, as a runner. Will have a Shelby Can-Am body on it. I like the look of it. Never all that popular, if at all, as an RC race body.

gonna be a tribute car to this one.

Wow, way cool, that's actually a buddy of mine Jess Heitman. I've raced with him a lot over the last few years.

Loving all of these posts!

Nice job on the ole body. I wish you could convince Parma to dust off more molds. There are a lot of folks out there running old cars with newer bodies on them. The cottage industry is doing well with some repos and reissues but Parma made the Osella and it was the only body I ever ran. It worked great on my TRC Pro12.

You've got to be kidding.

How cool is that. When I get it done, drop him a note. Maybe mention I just got a current physical, just in case he needs somebody to warm up the tires on that car.

Just received 2 osella's, killer! I ran serveral of these on my super phaser.
And will order up a couple of the Schkee's too!

What I have been looking for years now (on ebay) is 12th lexan wings. (graphite wings and buttons too) Parma made 4-5 models, but always found the straight wing, with the slight concave shape to be the one that worked and looked good on most models. AE also made your standard wing for the 12e/12i. Is it just me, or are they about the hardest part to get for my vintage car? It's taken a few years of searching and I have only found a few out there suitable.
