Default why discharge and balance lipo battrey

how do i balance and discharge my lipo battrey 11.1v 3s and do i have to discharge and balance is it important thanks

I don't discharge my lipos and just balance charge them every 5 cycles.

Same here, I discharge them through use! I check the balance before and after all runs (and to see what level of charge each battery has) and balance as needed.

I don't discharge my Packs but I use storage mode in my charger at the end of the day... Orion automatically balance the packs down to 7.7v....

The thing I've noticed is that my packs are strong on the first run since I've started doing this.

NEVER DISCHARGE LIPO'S

they get damaged chemically and it permanently shortens the capacity.
