Neat chassis; looks like you can use either FGX or Tamiya front end.

Where did you get it and how much?

www.gtopx.com does take you to the website. Looks like this is an offshoot of their main business.

PS. And not much there. The webite is pretty empty.

I guess it's empty!!! I couldn't find your chassis or any other rc car chassis. They only show a picture of a full scale Formula Nippon car, and under Products they list pictures of graphite rods, that's it!!

So, that being the case, how did you order the chassis and how much was it? That website is absolutely worthless!

Fine, I'll say what I'd like to see. I want the bottom plate, but one just for the FGX without the extra F104 front piece. I want the F104 battery plate to remain the same. Then I want the battery retainer plate to have the mounting holes added for the FGX rear suspension and lengthened in the front to reach the steering rack screw hole. Then I have the best of both worlds, a top loaded battery with the stiffness of the carbon carbon fiber and the proper scale appearance of a modern F1 car.

Sounds like you want to keep the fgx front arms. Why? They are the weakest point of the fgx.

For the styling and appearance mostly. The V2 arms are proving to be pretty good so far. The car is pretty popular, so I'm hoping they continue the development of the car. I would love to see a better composite or carbon fiber reinforced plastic used for all of the molded parts of this car. I agree their current plastics are the weakest link.

I agree. I actually have a fgx that sits on the shelf waiting for better parts development from 3racing. I'm hoping the full front suspension makes it to market and it includes better arms. I converted one into a rabbit for racing and I love it. Looks like this conversion has lots of potential as well.

It looks clean and well thought out. I do like it. The Rabbit conversion is well thought out too. I'd like to drive either one just to feel the difference.

liljohn, I like your ideas concerning the FGX. I wonder when 3Racing is going to release the independent front end with the shocks and rocker arms they showed on the FGX thread? I will definitely want that as well as a graphite upper deck and some other F1 bodies too.
