GMVIS Commander charger help

Hey guys, i was wandering if someone could tell me the best way and the best settings to charge 3300 racing packs. I charged at 5 amps and 3600 Mah at 10mv, and the packs got pretty hot to the touch, around 235-250 on my exergine gun. Any help would be appreciated!!

which version of the GM Comm. do you have?

Lower your peak.

You want them warm, but not hot.

The box says gmvis-power #94401, how do you turn your peak down, isn't it supposed to have auto peak detection? My mv is at 10, charge at 5 amps, MAH 3600

Billy,

THe best method to charge the 3300's with the commander is via the optional temp probe. Also, what is the mah reading when the pack is completely charged?

Before you charge your pack, discharge it to 5.10 volts which is pretty much dead for a NiMH 6 cell pack. Then on the charge side set the cut off for like 2900 MiAH, this way it will undercharge the pack or stop before it has a chance to overcharge.

This is how I charge my packs, they are barely warm when done and racing mod off-road I run a whole 5min heat and discharge the pack and still have 1500MiAH left in it it.

set mv to 5 and charge at 6 amps this what all the matchers cahrge at and it is safe. use the max voltage @ 15.0v because that feature is really only important in the Li-po cell side of things. Use the 3300 mah it won't help to up the mah it is just there so when you go to charge another pack you know what settigns you have. I hope this helps.
Oh if anyone has a working temp prob for the commander and want to sell there let me know. I found one in Austrillia and they want way too much for it.
Thanks,

The charger has these settings, Delta Peak 10-20 mv and 20-30 mv. What is the MAH setting for and how am i supposed to set it for 3300. My last pack peaked at about 3600 MAH, am i supposed to set this up to cut off when it reaches a certain MAH? The charger cuts off after the pack peaks but the packs are getting a little hot, 235' to 250'. Is there any other adjustments i can do to make the charger more sensitive? Thanks again for the help guys!

The original GM Com charger didn't have adjustable PEAK cut-off

I cut mine off at 2900 MAH. MAke sure the pack is discharged first.
