Default TF5 (rtr) project

hello ppl..
i am new in forum.

i would like to ask about tf5 rtr.
i start a project.i took the chassis of tf5 rtr i will put a brushless motor and slowly slowly the options parts till carbon chassis.

i have a problem.
i buy for that tf5 some tires foam..
for front 26mm
and for rear 30mm offset 0

the problem is front when i turn the wheel left or right its getting stuck on the suspension arm..(matrix tires foam.)

and for rear..it cannot fit because its getting stuck on the suspension end ball in the end.

what i can do for that? what do u prefer me to do?
looks like its getting only 24mm tires.. but its hard to find 24mm .

options
-get tyres that fit
- put a spacer between the hex hub & wheel( a small washer)
- make the wheel narrower with a tyre truer
- use 6mm or 7mm hex hubs

do u think with only the adapter hub it can fit the 30mm tire easilly without problems?
thank you so much for your answers.
i think i will move to the adapter hex hub 6mm normally.
because the plastic which already have are too thin

Hi, Sorry to Tell you that even with 6mm hex you cannot use a 30MM
foam tire in the rear. I use 26mm Rubber slicks in front and rear and
use 7MM hex nuts to get the desired clearance. One question is why
do you want to use different size tires in the rear and front of an AWD
car? Regards

well i was trying to use different size for more handling because i will use brushless 8.5t and i was thinking will be hard to handle that thing.!!!
now you are using 7mm hex?
btw i would like to use FOAM tires.
what do u prefer me to do?
(the standard hex is 5mm or i am wrong?)
( i will use that motor Ezrun60AV2+8.5T/4000KV )

what u suggest me to do now?
( i was thinking to use foam tires)

i am lil bit confused about tires etc..
(and btw what offset in tires?)
if i use hex 7mm where i can find it? do u have any code from another model etc?

what body are u using? 200mm? or 195mm?

Hi, You can get the 7mm hex nuts at 3Racing.com. Standard is 5mm.
Good Luck but I still believe you should go with 26MM front and rear.
As I told you I use rubber slicks with 10.5T Hobbywing BL system and
my car handles fine. Body is 200mm. Regards
Norman2
When you go to 3Racing.com go to accesories and check in the Adaptor section

so you are talking about those ? 3RAC-WX127/PK Wheel Adaptor (7mm) - Thick

i will use 26 front 26 rear as u do..(if i remember well u told me u are using 7mm).
because i already have foam tires i will try use 26 front and rear froam and if are not working good i will try your style with rubber slicks..
are you using them only in track? or in road-parking too?

p.s those hex are set of 4? or just 2?

what anti roll bar are u using on it?
i took 1.5mm to see how its working.

It it possible to fit 30mm rear tire but you will have to move the ball end.

The Foam mounted on the pic have been running with wrong camber tough

I would recommend you to upgrade to aluminum front drive shaft for TF-5 RTR (TFW053), in the rear it's ok to run with plastic.

Also, run rubber instead of foam! So much easier, the rubber tire keep same diameter until whey are finished.
Sorex 28-32 works good for indoor, 32-36 outdoor.

Change to ceramic balls in both diffs, otherwise this is a pretty decent car!
I was running 4.5T when I had mine and it was holding together good

i think there is only 1 spot for ball end or i am wrong..
the other 1 plastic ball in the suspension arm is for anti roll bar or i am wrong?

btw why u suggest me upgrade to aluminum front drive shaft.. u think the standard drive shaft will broken?or there is another reason?
