Airtronics 94145 servo doesnt fit in rc12l4?

I am putting together my 12l4 kit and it seems that the airtronics servo wont fit the chassis or the mounts. I heard it was a good servo but it doesnt fit

l4 supposed to come with an adjustable servo mount dont it? if not crc makes one for cheap. same thing happened to my L3, the recommended servos dont fit! what i did was just mount the servo on the chassis.

It does come with an adjustable mount but it will not be able to fit all steering servos perfectly. Try using the CRC mounts, they can be adjusted more then the kit ones are.

The servo spacing on the L4 is the same as the L3. Both were pretty much designed around the 94145 servo case. How exactly is it not fitting?

i dunno about the airtronics servo but my hitec 225 is too small for the mounts. the ears are barely touching the mount.

I know of two 12L4s that have the 94145 in them and they fit perfectly. The spacing is fine with the stock aluminum mounts. This may be a stupid question but you did take and cut off the horizontal pieces and left the standard mounting ears correct?

The chassis was designed for Airtronics servos. All their factory drivers are sponsored by Airtronics except Blackstock whick runs KO. They used Airtronics servos as dimensional standards on all their cars.

The Airtronics 94145 servo fits in the 12L4 with no extra pieces. The horizontal mounts need to be cut off the servo case as stated. See photos attached...
