I agree too each main should be 15 to 20 cars deep...if there was ever a track that could support this idea...this is it....that would be awesome to see. Think of all the cars that could peel you now or you could peel....

+1,000,000 dirty Dirla is in the house for that!!!!
I was thinking that myself before you posted it while sitting at work this morning....working ya that's it

I'll admit to being in a complete lather to come race on that slab of epic awesomeness. Plus, I lived in Chicago for three years and haven't been back in ages. I'm going to Cafe Iberico for some jug red and tapas, then the Checkerboard for some tunes, and maybe Lincoln Park for a stroll before that. I'm buying plane tickets this week
OK....Cafe Iberico, say no more, I DRIVE, come over and we will do that after the qualifier.

You will love this track, it is not something we are doing every Sunday.

count me in for US VTA and TC blinky, and if USGT(21.5) is offered, that too

Ill dance with as many as you like in US VTA

Race Specification:
- 5 minute qualifiers
- 8 minute mains
- Absolutely NO IFMAR-type starts. All heats and mains should be straight-up starts, with random sorts for each heat. Non random sorts should shuffle starting order for each heat.

Optional Main Variations:
- 12-20 car A-mains, depending on car counts.
- Invert qualifying order based on random hat pull (top 6-10 cars).
- "LeMans" type starts where all cars are lined up on an angle to the racing line in order.
- Run track in reverse rotation for mains.
- Rolling starts

I don't mind headup start as long we run againt our own clock..
Problem with the headup start...If you get hacked in your best run and that's is over ,you will never get ahead of the leader if you are in the back..try to pass up nine cars isn't easy without getting taking out or they try to get their position back after you passed them...

The ifmar starts in vta at carpet nats was actually fun, with the cars being so close you really had to focus on your run and tq and 2nd was only separated by .05 seconds after the 6 minute run. It changed hands 4 times in the last minute of the last qualifier.

Are there any requirements to be able to enter this event? Just got back into RC and thinking about coming to race in this. I know you have to be a ROAR member but anything other than that? Thanks
