I recall entries being equally low for the paved Nats last year, as well... but there ended up being a pretty dang good turn-out for the Sedan classes in the end.

I went to the store in person to sign up, and thats what I was told. On the form there was a place to put your email address. I asked Scott about it yesterday, and he said he would look into it. Was wondering if it was just me.

Signed up the first day.

Gotcha. I called and got Aaron and he ran through the whole legal talk of you just purchased tires, spot, no refunds etc.... He was actually taking it really seriously I just wanted to have him stop. So props to them for paying attention. Even though he knew who I was he still stopped and took down all my info as if I was anyone walking off the street.

What?????

You put your $800 to $1,500 car on the track (radio included), plus travel expenses, plus parts and your concerned about 85.00 entry fee??? Sorry I just do not get it when people say this.

IMO the entry fees for these big races are justified and fair. It cost a lot of money to put on an event like this. For someone that has been in real racing forever, $85 to race is pennies!

I believe what he is trying to say is that we spend beyond a crapload of cash on these cars. In the big picture what is 85 dollars over 4 days of racing? Just a little over 20 a day. Plus let's face it these big races are like going to a convention for our hobby. You get to see prototypes in action. I'm sure rc car action will be there giving away free magazines. Most of these places have raffles. It may not be in everyone's budget but when it's in my backyard it certainly is pennies on the dollar in comparison.

Even you my friend while bargin hunting have spent over 7k over the years on this hobby.

Roar membership is required and for good reason. The amount of insurance brought to the table to cover the host and us is great.
