Bump for the NAT.

When can we find out what are the 2 house classes...? My concern is...ROAR does not have a clear definition about those who run MOD can or cannot run stock 17.5.........if that is the case, I need to find out the other house class for the National. I would like to see no timing 13.5 or 10.5...just something faster then 17.5 but not MOD.

I know what ROAR said about mod driver cannot run stock. It is in the rule book, but the just finished carpet national, there were 2 drivers running stock 17.5 (1 is actually a winner) and both of them were running MOD as well. Why the rule does not apply to them or on that event..? Still a National and still are the stock 17.5 vs mod class.

One of the house classes will be VTA, the other is unknown at this time.

I just want to see does ROAR offer the stock 17.5 class as a SPORTSMAN class or it is just plain stock 17.5....? If the class is NOT a sportsman class, then it is OK for driver to run both stock 17.5 and mod or any other classes.

Those who is very familiar with ROAR rule please clarify that...thank you.

Until the Carpet Nats you could not run both Mod and 17.5. They don't term 17.5 as sportsman but just 17.5 and I believe some reference to it being non-timing.

In my case...I am no MOD driver. But I am definitely enjoy running MOD just because the track is big enough for me to run mod. The skill level of myself should NOT be penalizing me from racing STOCK.

I would like to run a 2nd class but USVTA is not something I want to run, and 12th scale or WGT are just not something I want to own. I wish ROAR can clarify that in writing soon.

I hear you but since ROAR doesn't enfore any type of experience prerequisite for class selection by drivers and considering that they allowed drivers to run both Mod and 17.5 at the Carpet Nats this past weekend then it would be REASONABLE to assume that you will be able to run both at the Asphalt Nats.

This made me LOL since I've felt that way before. If you had too though, WGT outdoors on a grippy track seems pretty sweet.

But if you have to own something around $500 plus for 1 event (1 race)...it is not that much fun afterall.

In summer time, there are way too many classes that are fun....so I rather pick the cheap one then the expensive one....again, that is just me.

Mike Jones and I both plan to come back to run 17.5 and MOD. Had a blast at last year's Asphalt Assault race!

Unless there is a National ranking system, otherwise, it will be hard to enforce.

Those who are running MOD constantly are usually not running STOCK at all. Those names are very easy to spot if they are trying to sandbag a title. But it is just not fair for those who actually step up for the MOD class simply because the track itself is big enough for mod...and automatic assumed these drivers are PROFESSIONAL and would not allow them to run stock.

Thanks Fred for your info...are you coming?

Any word on when Leisure Hours will be opening the track up for the season?

Thanks!
