The simple answer is I'm sure they will, they have the room and others have done the same thing at other big races here...

Hey Mike

It will depend on the schedule but we hope to be able to offer 2 minute groups of 10 or more.

To repeat an earlier post. Is there going to be a WGT class at this event?

Interesting: I would like to know how a class that is much less popular (1/12 mod) replaces WGT. Typical for our major races to have three times the car count.
Understand that I am not angry because this saves me a lot of money, (race entry, tires, battery, room and meals) since I will not attend a race that I had put on the calender.

Both 1/12th scale Mod and TC Mod are qualifiers to the worlds (IFMAR) thus they are the 2 classes you can be sure that will run at a ROAR national.

I do understand that as those are elite groups and maybe because of that you will get a bigger car count. But what is the reason that WGT is left out? It has been at all Nationals (paved and carpet) the last couple of years.

I personally have no idea... Someone else will have to address your question. I just was explaining why 1/12th mod and TC mod are staples at a ROAR National.

I suspect it has something to do with the lack of popularity of WGT at previous paved Nats.... there were only 6-7 entries last year, I believe. And also an attempt at keeping the class count down.

It is a shame that WGT isn't more popular on the asphalt, considering how well it does at the big carpet races.

I am from the NORCAR group and we host the Haloween Classic and this year the region 5 Championships. When we set those races up we will always attempt to accommodate all of the ROAR on road classes. I as a ROAR member am disappointed that an organization that I pay dues to is allowing an on road class to not be included in an on road national championship. This really does need an adequate explanation by them. This forum would be a excellent place to do that.

Actually as a paying member, you should really be utilizing the ROAR forum, those in charge keep tabs on it a lot closer than rctech.

I have sent a request for explanation to Mr. Pond. I hope he responds. As to my questions here I was hoping a representative from the track's organizational group would explain.

I'm sure that if you guys had enough to run they wouldn't mind hosting it. But its not a weekly class that is run and turn out isn't high at the local track.

Although I 'm not going to this race leaving out the WGT is Not right.ROAR has been going down hill for quite awhile and leaving out this class ??? This is the only class I run in our Series for the last three years. 1/12th outdoors here in Florida is DEAD. the only time you see 1/12th anywhere on the track is when it gets close to the birds.
