Default Xray website problems

Does anyone know what's going on with the Xray website?

The main page and the forum both seem to be offline for some reason?

Hackers? updates? crash?

I don't know what's the problem, but I guess it's just some technical problem (server or router crashed etc). Earlier Xray staff posted into their forums that they will be out of office until tomorrow (23rd), so I guess there's just nobody at the office who would have noticed this and taken action to get it back online.

They got hit by the PhBB worm and probably shut down the site to restore it.

What is this worm?

I to saw the page lastnight. is their a way to protect websites from this thing?

Why target XRAY, you think they would attach Microsoft or a larger company.

I emailed Mario lastnight, ( his first day back from vacation) they know about it and are fixing it ASAP.

The Corally site was down with some bug yesterday and earlier today.

It's now up and running, and new, so something must have happened.

Perhaps someone is trying to play funny.

The website is stuck in customs...

or

Maybe they change Hosting providers as often as they change distributors?

Korgae,

It's a worm that randomly attacks every phpBB installation that it can discover by using Google (I guess performing searches to find specific version numbers). Google has now disabled searches for this worm, so it has been blocked that way.

When this worm was still active, it exploited bug that was in earlier phpBB versions and all phpBB installations that were updated properly to latest version were safe, but old versions were open for attacks. This is why people should keep their softwares up to date, specially when software author suggests updating.
