Hi Guys!

well after the AOC looks like its TOP Racing for me after chatting with Rodney at Top Racing Australia! cant wait for new stock to arrive t Top Australia so I can get my hands on some kits and start racing these babies... if its anything like what the Mini Sabre is Im going to LOVE it!!! hopefully I can throw some questions your way once I'm getting stuck into the build and setting up, putting me on the right path with this chassis. Anyway thought id introduce myself in the meantime.

Cheers

Awesome! Get the optional pistons and make sure to shim them! Also soak the gear diff o rings with wd40 or something along those lines

I haven't, but I did try running a front gear diff this past weekend with a softer spring set. 306 front and 278 rear. Seemed to work pretty good.

Is the trend amongst the team guys still to run without swaybars?

That was a trend among Larry F. LOL... Given he is really fast. When I look at the UK guys set ups, or EJ's they always have sway bars.

Hello All,
Having just swapped one of my 417's for a Photon EX to try something different I've now started to research setup. My first question is what are the must haves to run Mod (4.5T) in this car? Are there metal gears for the gear diff? And is there any set-ups that use the same springs, pistons and oils front and rear?

Thanks,
Michael.

Michael, PM me you mobile number and setup whatsapp on your phone, http://www.whatsapp.com/

I have a group discussion going for lots of Aussie based EX Drivers, and local team drivers, (open to any Aussie EX driver of course)

running Mod, the first thing is to run steel dogbones up-front, or the new CVD's when they are released, I should have them late this week or early next week,

regards, Rod M.
