Good luck! Can't make the Reedy but I bought my Vegas tickets today for the IIC!

Good results for the EX over the weekend at our local nationals.

I ran my EX to the Modified TQ but had some bad luck with body tuck and my PT unplugging in the mains to keep me from converting TQ into a win.

Another EX also took TQ and the win in 13.5 Boosted.

Thumbs up Photon EX dominates first round of the Danish Championships

Yesterday we had the first race of the Danish Championships outdoor on a perfect 1:10 track near Copenhagen.

First race with the EX and first time out ever was Fridays practice. The car was perfect! Easy to drive and very fast.
TQ and win in all 3 finals with a nice margin. I will post my setup here tomorrow.

The track is asphalt, 165m long with app. 50m main straight. Motor is 17,5t with timing, and heats are 7 min long. Solaris Hard was the control tyre and it's allowed to use 6 tyres for the whole race (3 qual and 3 finals)

Good luck to the guys going to the Reedy Race

Hi guys
Here You can see my setup from the race. The PDF file was to big, so I had to make it a JPG. I am sorry but no one was filming at this race.

Actually the 3rd final was filmed by a mechanic of one of the other cars.

It's done with an IPhone, hence the quality, but it's useable.

The EX is the pink and white in pole position.

Thanks Larry
The track has a very nice flow, and is great for Touring Car racing. The grip level is medium, since not so many are driving on this track outside the races.

Wild, I went to change the o-rings and add the missing shims to my diff last night, my diff only had a light coating of oil left on everything inside.

But I played around with shims and o-rings, noticed the stock o-rings are quite hard, and fairly thin, without the shims I'm guessing they never had any seating pressure at all, hence so much leakage.

With the shims, using a .1mm there is still some play (maybe still a shade too much), but with a .2mm it feels a touch tight, I did see some build guide elsewhere with a guy sanding and shimming for that perfect no play to no bind ratio.

So I'm just going to try the listed .1mm shim, but I will also try a Mugen o-ring, the Mugen o-ring is actually a little thicker and a bit softer, it's also a little tighter on the outdrive shaft, not by much.
So far since building it, it's not really leaking, but I'm surprised there is still a tiny hint of weeping after sitting overnight.
