looks like you will start doing the matching yourself. I know, even at high profile rebadged mathc cells, the number is very2 interesting.. but not the performance.

Since I knew you will always be having a laptop at your pit table, I`m thinking of using an IR thermal photo to measure my motor temp.. will just need your laptop to analyze the result or that is what considered too much

Speed XL-I would LOVE to see some pics due to there not being ALOT of them out there at all expecially the last 4-5 months.
Care to back up your statement with some pics?PLEASE????
Instead of just talking. Please post the pics on the board if they are SOOOO available. This statement is NOT TRUE and I would simply like it backed up a lil is all.

CR250 you as well.Since you guys arent matchers I think your kinda speaking out your BUTT a lil.Sorry to say.I know your PAL is a matcher due to you advertising for him on almost every post you make.No problem there since he obviously helps you out on price.Part of the deal Im sure. But to say there are a TON of cells out there even over the 430 mark is a FALSE CLAIM and simply NOT TRUE.

Actually guys I match cells and there hasnt been many cells over 430 in the last 4-5 months.Less than 3-5%.That Means out of 4000 cells Im seeing maybe 150-200 of these IF THAT.I dont
care WHO the matcher is because I havent seen them and Im going through 10 Plus a month.SMC,Fukuyama,Promatch,Team 1 all are without these packs you speak of on a regular basis because right now it's simply not happening. They see a VERY limited # as well.

Now back in March-Late June area there was some nice High #ered cells but here lately it's an average of 400-415
The high end of cells is 420-430.
Now Orion/Peak use a different matching process and will show them.
But anyone using CE 4/35 matchers and doing them with a .9 cutoff at either 5-6 amps is not seeing alot of cells over the 430
Mark.A few yes but not many at all.
Most of the Team Drivers right now are seeing 430-440 tops with good voltage still.
To see a cell with killer voltage and 440+ runtime is SUPER RARE right now and if the matcher is a HONEST matcher he will admit to
this. Now the last 4 cases I got in have some nice #'s but still not as high as the one's from earlier this year and as AVAILABLE as you guys claim.

Please dont make SUCH statements as you have without backup or actual matching experience because it's simple NOT TRUE.,,,,

P.S.
hmmm 455 sec on 30A discharge from a 3300 battery is sounds like almost impossible

Unless this pack is Orion/Peak or someone using a NEW Discharge Curve then this statement is SUPER RARE from a GP3300 matched by a honest matcher.

I can tell you that I have seen 455 at 30 amps in my shop. I will also say that they were rare. The longest individual runtime cell I have seen in a gp3300 was 462 @ 30 amps. 1 Cell. There are plenty of 430 cells around like Speedxl said. We got a fair amount on hand on any given day. I will also agree that the average cells have had less runtime in the last 4 months from Gp. I match lots of cases every month so I have plenty of exposure to whats the norm with cells.

I can supply those any day of the week. How many would you like. Please dont forget my volume of cell production allows for this.

K.Are you seeing 440+ at 1.17 or higher?
That was the statement made.
I have alot of cells up to 435 or so but 440 or higher with 1.17?
You have ALOT of these?
I know this is 5 seconds but these guys think that 440-455 is common and it's NOT.
By the way John.Nice cells your doing.Run great on the track.
Keep up the good work.Goodluck in 2005 and Merry Christmas.

Now we are not seeing very much above 440 at this time. Like you said earlier there was a time when there were plenty. I did have a case the other day about a week ago that was all high runtimes in the 445ish range. But that was not the norm by any stretch.

K thanks for backing up what I was saying John.Your a very reputable matcher and to hear that from you just backs the statement I was making.
Cr250,SpeedXL the Team Guys arent getting alot of cells over 440 when there simply isnt many out there.
The Date Codes of cells will determine runtime's,voltage and IR
The Date codes up till this last case John matched and the couple I have matched are just now again showing HIGH #'d cells again.
It has been 4-5 months since we have seen cells this high.

But to say 455 at 30 is common is not true nor are cells up till MAYBE now being even 440 or higher on a regular or common basis. Please refrain from making statements in the future that simply arent true.Stirs up people thinking they got jipped from a matcher over the last 4-5 months when they asked for the HIGHEST runtime they had and only getting 430-435's.

Merry Christmas to Everyone and Happy New Year.

i don't know if i'm interrupting or anything, but you guys are off the topic.
450+s 3300 cells? I don't think immortal enough to have them.I honestly don't even get the extra runtime from 420+s cells which are supposed to give over the 'older' 390-400s cells.Even a matcher which I trust also dare not say their cells are 420+s even when it's shown on the cell labels.

Which is why GP are releasing 3700 cells. Why are so many people paranoid with the next generation of things? Just because there are some really good 3300 cells out there, does it mean it's time for GP to stop R&D and just keep cranking out 3300's with more charge in them?

And please, if you trust GP so much (by buying cases loads of their cells), why do you not believe that the next generation of cells will give 400mAh more charge in them? Paradoxical. The only explanations i can think of are this:
1. Those associated with matchers are afraid that new cells will result in loss of revenue due to current possesion of a lot of these 'older 3300' cells.

2. Those who already have a lot of these cells are afraid that your $70/pack cells are going to be obsolete and you'll have to get new cells to be 'on top of things'.

So you'll just complain that things are good enough as it is, and ONLY when you're finished with what you have, then you want the new cells. BUT NOT before.

Sounds acidic i know, but hey, this is the internet. Go free speech.

Your right. We did get off topic a lil.
I more than welcome a new cell with 250-400 more MAH than the 3300's were are seeing if they have the same LOW IR and HIGH voltages we have been seeing.
The coolest thing about GP is taking advice or comments from Major Matchers to help guide the cell to the competitive and market leading cell it is today.
Guys UNLESS you race Mod Sedan or Mod 1/12th scale your current 3300's are MORE than fine.
I havent heard any talk of extending runtimes on a national level for 2005 so NOTHING to worry about there.
If your local track does so then thats different.
Well Said Lee.

lets not forget that all Roar sanctioned racing is going to have to be on the 3300 until January 2006 because no one submitted the 3600 from Sanyo or a 3700 from Gp by the September deadline. Basically that means we will have another year of consistency from the sanctioning body with regards to cells. Now the local clubs on the other hand are probably going to start letting some of the newer cells into competition. with that in mind we will get about 9 months to see how the battery world shakes out. Yes some matchers mey get caught with a lot of stock on hand and others wont. Its time to see who is a real business and who is just running cells in their garage. Just my .02 cents worth. I welcome differing views. Please post them.
