the long deck lid makes some serious sterring, its really good out side , picking the right wing is the hardest with these ride bodies

We received RIDE Accord bodyshells with the wing as in the photo "New Style Wing" too. It was actually attached to the main body, not as a seperate item

That wing thing is quite confusing. I made some pictures at the LRP Masters race regarding wings on Ride/Excel bodies as I noticed there were different in use. Just watched again those pictures I have posted on the LRP Masters thread and some more I have. You can see the same wing on Adachiīs car what is an Excel Stratus II as Dave posted and the same wing on Teemu Leinos Stratus. Teemu said he had a Ride MK III. On the Ride Accord the Losi guys used the old wing and Levanen had a Mazda wing. Didnīt saw a new Ride wing until now. Marc had a different wing on his Accord during practice but I donīt know what type this is. Masami used the same wing as Adachi during practice but then run a Goraku wing 3.1 in the race. I donīt have a Goraku wing but from the picture I have seen Goraku 3 and 3.1 looks the same. Difference in my opinion is the width as Masamis wing was as wide as the body and someone posted the 3 is 175mm wide.

I guess most people here doesn't know JMRCA changed the rule of wing early this year. Generally IFMAR new rule also the same with JMRCA.

The only thing image didn't tell is rear end of wing must be within 10mm from rear end of bumper. This rule doesn't exist in IFMAR but in JMRCA.

Most of JP body maker either upgrade their exist product to meet the new dimension, or start a new line. Yokomo GW3.1 wing in fact in the same design with GW3 but dimension be changed to meet new rule.

And the "New style wing" is in fact the 190mm new wing from Ride...

ttso.. thanks for the info.

i did mount that wing so that it doesnt stick out further than the rear bumper. with the smallest possibility of getting into the Reedy Race... i wanted to make sure the body was legal. somehow

What are peoples experiance with the Ride MKII and MKIII bodies? I might try one but I'm wondering what other people think of them. Also, where can you buy the Excel Accord, and what do people think about this body? I haven't been able to find any info about it online.

I just realize the image still showed 175mm maximum, the new rule should be:

Maximum width: 190mm
Maximum length: 40mm
Maximum height: 20mm
Mounted maximum height: 115mm from ground
Mounted maximum rear-end location: 10mm from bumper
