Default Mixing and Matching motors 27turn

Hi guys quick question for the dedicated stock racers out there ( 27turn )

has anyone tried different arms in different cans with different endbells to get different results on the track
say that vital bit of rpm/torque they were lacking

I know we all go on about tweaking and tuning stocks bought from any 1 supplier

but this is even more experimental

I know trinity has a couple of different version of stocks who on here has mixed and matched between the arms and cans that they do to get different results on the track.

I know this wouldnt be legal for some events including BRCA over here in the Uk but i was just curious

Just wait... Trinity will do it for you and put huge ad's in magazines about how the new motor will revolutionize the industry.

I used trinity as a example

I mean real mix and match like a monster arm in like a integy matrix can or a peak arm in a monster can or some real good handwound arm from a individual motor guy that produced a real good motor combo

I have read and reread some guys posts on here from

EAmotorsports
Team Br00d
ect
ect

and other guys and the seem to be experementing with all kinds of thing ie different types of gauge wire polishing laminations up skewed comes ect just wondered whats the next milestone for stocks

I have even spoke directly to the man himself mike reedy on the prospect of a new motor from reedy and he said they did produce something good but i had to be geared completly different to the current crop of stocks to show its outstanding potential and the plan was scrapped because he didnt think that regularl drivers would get there head around that fact and deem the new motor usless probably other factors came into the equation too but ........

I have a P2K2 arm in an MVP can and it works great.Same power band and gearing as a P2K2 with more power all around.I have tried a Monster arm in an MVP can and that didn't work-acted just like an MVP.

i used a peak hellfire with a trinity monstor pro armature with a peak v2 endbell

it went quite good

Binary 2 four mag stocks & monster stockers work well, i forgot & geared my binary 2 the same as my monster for long tracks & toasted it so i put in a old monster arm works great slightly less RPM slightly more torque.

Last big local race I went to there were a couple of disqualifications for certain drivers putting EPIC Binary2 armatures into Roar legal EPIC 2 magnet cans. I must say they were screaming around the track, great punch and great rpm. Although it is not legal or ethical to cheat, you might want to try this. I am not a big stock fan, but the advantage these guys had over the rest of the field was impressive, looked more like a 19t.

My favorite is a monster arm in a paradox can.......same performance as a monster but without any heat fade through the race

I am not familiar with that brand of arm whos the producer

and what is the advantage of a twisted comm

wouldnt the first segment still be more energised then the last and arc out more.....!!!

Most pro-motor builders will agree that a skewed comm gives no performance advantage whatsoever.......

Well, I would not say no advantage....you could use it to actually advance the timing....

I've played with all the combos of trinity motors, none seem to do anything better than the orginal combo.....and trust me, if it did, Trinity would of already released the motor...

If you want a handwound stock, it can be done....but if yer club is allowing handwound stocks, simply see if you could use a bigger guage wire....that alone would make it a rocket, as would winding it Hemi instead of crosswrapped....I can do either if ya want....I just did a trick arm for a customer going out on monday for his club's outlaw stock class.....hemi wound with 20.5 guage wire instead of 22....thing will probably pull 140+ watts easy on the dyno versus a normal monster that will be mid to high 120s on the dyno for a good motor....

i still dont get why people want to make stock motors super powerful and fast.. stock is a basline class, allowing everyone to compete with motorsin the same arena... there are other classes like 19 limitied mod, and full open mod.. if you want to go faster jump the class... its alot better then being dq'd, and labled a cheater...

we ran an outlaw stock class at the paved nats this summer.. it allowed mixing and matching, but no hand winds, or bearings.. the cars were no faster then regular stock, they didnt even get close to track record...
