Were there any drivers using the Corally HMX and if so how did they do?

Brian Stanton and Bill Sydor were running the HMX. Although I think they were running the CF towers and stuff as it seems like a lot of guys are doing.

And yes kody is a friend, but that doesn't change what I just read.
Actually, skypilot, if you look at the sequence of video frames below you will see that all Kody did (after tumbling Tony's car) was slow down a bit and make a little wider turn. Kody did not stop and he certainly did not get his tires as dirty as Tony did.

Now that 2nd pass by Kody, at frame 09:18:31, was a clean pass. However since Kody would have stopped right after the tumble, he would have been quite a bit farther behind and would not have been in position to make that clean 2nd pass.

So far from what's been said and shown on video and now stills, it looks as though the light colored car did make the fist contact and did wait for the black car to regain its position. Both cars were off the "clean" line and got into the "marbles". When they resumed their battle both cars were on "dirty" tires, how much dirt will never be known as both continued on. When the black car went wide going onto the straight euros car made its move inside for the position when the black car made a defensive/blocking move causing the white car to roll over its rear tire.

I don't know either driver but I think the wrong decision was made..... K, I'm done beating the dead horse now.

No good can come from a discussion based on which drivers tires were the dirtiest

It's not good for the drivers involved, the track crew, or the person(s) who decided the final outcome

What's done is done.

Let's hope we never have to witness something like that again
unfortunately a precedent has been set

All I know is the corner marshall that did the Texas two step to avoid stepping on oncoming cars should be given a medal of honor

Ok, one last crack at the dead horse. F1 was an Exhibition class correct? So no "Real" title was up for grabs. Sooooo..... CONGRATS TO THE F1 EXIBITION CLASS WINNER. whatever that means.

Art is correct, my self and Bill Sydor were both there with our HMX's. We both were also using the CF towers. I qualified 10th, and considering this was my 3rd time out with the car, I'm pretty impressed. I think the car has a lot of potential.

Are you guys running sway bars? My son is driving one of these and he really likes it. He placed third in our 10 race winter carpet series 17.5 blinky. The sway bars would help but they cost a small fortune.
Thanks for the answers.

Yes, I ran the medium sway bar up front and thin on the rear

I couldn't be more impressed with the scale realism that F1 has brought to RC.

This class has now delivered a controversial "FIA-style" post race decision, and ensuing calamity.

Triple A-mains won't necessarily fix the problem either. A similar situation occurred at the '09 nats in 17.5 sedan, and the triple A-mains didn't sweeten that pot.

We all just need to learn to accept the decisions made by the ruling body, and move on.
