Added a bit to the 1st post. WGT tires will be Jaco spec on the white wheels.

The problem with having a Spec Tire is that the hosting hobby shop would be required to stock those tires and wheels. With F1 tires being so hard to find, it would be a big inconvenience for the hobby shop to have to stock them.

ROAR needs to be flexible and adjust the schedule based on the number of entries. If there is time to run three rounds they should but I am afraid they will say that "we announced two and that is what we will run" instead of being flexible. I'd treat qualifying this way too; go from four to five or six rounds if there is time.

I would assume that f1 tires are not being spec'd since the first post does not mention it and the shop has no plans on stocking them. Just needs to be rubber f1 type tires.

it's not even worth it fly all the way over there spending all that money. For 2 rounds per day ROAR needs to come out with a better race program

It is not 2 rounds per day. Check schedule.

Interestingly, a race that runs one round per day is one of the most popular races in the world.

Wow. It's only one round on Friday and one round on Saturday. I may have to rethink making a road trip from Jacksonville, FL for only 2 rounds of qualifiers and 1 main (if I can even make it into the main). The whole thing is starting to sound very costly (*both in time and in money).

what schedule are you looking at This is from the first page,

SCHEDULE:
Thursday
Doors open at 10 am for pit set-up.
Pre-Tech open from 6-9 pm.
Track will be closed all day.

Friday
Doors open at 7. Racing begins at 8.
2 Practice rounds. Fastest 3 consecutive laps determine your seed/heat for qualifying.
1st Qualifier

Saturday
Doors open at 7 Racing begins at 8.
2 minute/10 driver practice from 7:15 to 7:45
2nd Qualifier
Resort
3rd Qualifier
4th Qualifier

Sunday
Doors open at 7 Racing begins at 8.
2 minute/10 driver practice from 7:15 to 7:45

you get two rounds of practice and one qualifier on friday, 3 qualifiers on saturday, then the mains on sunday. That's not including the 2 minute 10 driver practice sessions on saturday and sunday either.

No way man! It will be worth every penny to drive over from Jacksonville to Dallas and get some ROAR Racing action!

Why just not have open practice on Thursday like they did at the 2011 off-road nationals. They have Wednesday open pratice and it worked out good. It made the even so much more fun and you got more track time.

Question about legal bodies for VTA.
None are on the approved body list from ROAR (http://www.roarracing.org/?page_id=97) . This is ROAR rule 6.1.2 : Only ROAR- approved bodies may be used in sanctioned events (page 30 of rule book). Will this be a problem?
This is also true for F1 bodies.
