Default Mtroniks Cirrus Esc

Hey Guys,

Need your input/feedback....I was looking at maybe purchasing this speedo. However, I don't know of anyone that uses it. Would like to know how it ranks against the GTX and Q2. Or should I just buy the GTX??

How does it perform on the track? All input would be appreciated.

thanks!

Ive no complain about this ESC. It's working since March 2004 with no problems. It's powerfull, waterproof (not tested) and a bit complicated to set up but relliable.

The Cirrus in an amazing little ESC! I've had mine for over a year and a half with no problems. I have raced against the Q2 and the GTX, and they seem all about the same, so it's up to you what you want to spend. Plus Mtroniks has by far the best customer service

can somepost an email or link to the customer service dept at mtroniks? i have had poor experiences with the factory. based on the feedback, perhaps i should try again.

the customer service at hobby people (the mtroniks distributor in the states) is number one, however.

i have had a few cubic esc's and now a cirrus. they run as well as anything, but the profiles are a bit weird.

Where's the customer service located?? Over seas? Also would you say it's punchier than the GTX? From what I see they are all the same prices. Just was thinking of trying something new. i already have a GT7 and GTX.

thanks,

I couldn't say for sure about how punchy it is compared to the GTX, I found it has more punch than the GT7 though. It has 8 profiles for punch/throttle curve/brakes/frequency, that is 8 for each one of those, it is VERY adjustable to suit your liking.

I have a sponsorship through Mtroniks so I have always talked to them oversees, I'm sure that there is something over here though, I will find out for you.

I loved my cirrus....but accidentally soldered the shotsky (sp) diod in backwards on the motor and fired the ESC to he!!....I don't think the warrenty covers that.

But before the incident last week, It was the best ESC I'd ever run. Super smooth, tons of punch, ran cool....the full package.

That's cool. i don't race in the rain. I would only use this ESC for competitive indoor carpet Touring Stock racing. Think this is the way to go??

If not, then it's another GTX for me.

www.hobbypeople.net is the only place I know of in the US where you can get one.

Thats where I'll be getting mine before the start of the season.

Last winter I bought a low end Mtroniks ESC because of it's small size and cheap price ($30 on sale). That thing lasted about 3 weeks in 4 cell 1/12th scale before it started acting up. It would cut out intermitently. Then I hooked it up to a 6 cell pack and it started smoking.

I suppose you get what you pay for and the high end Mtroniks may be good, but if the low end one couldn't handle 4 cells I'd be leary of any Mtroniks product.
