What are some good bodies for a touring car?

Yeah, the stratus is probably the most widely used touring car body used. HPI just came out with a new stratus body called the Stratus Aero 2. It is 190mm (for electric touring car's), and it is very attractive. Here is a pic:

Hi,

AOL is right.both of the Stratus bodies work great for either foam or rubber. the Losi Alpha woks well also at ths time it is the body of choice for us.
the Losi Lexus body isn't to bad we run this too. the new Protoform Mazda6 also is a great body good turn in and stable on the longer straights.
other bodies that work but are not run as much are the ProtoForm Honda 4 door, the Skoda body, PF's Nissan body.
I haven't run any HPI bodies in a while but the new Areo Stratus looks good.

If you are a beginner and not sure what body to get, you can never go wrong with a stratus body. A few years ago I was running a Honda body and my car kept spinning out on me, I switched over to a Stratus body and my car was planted.

Alot of body choice is what type of track are you running on,but as far as body's go a blunt nosed body is more stable but has less steering than a body with a sloped nose,The stratus would fit in the "blunt nose" category and an Alfa would fit in the "sloped nose" category.For me I like a blunt nose body on a big track and a sloped nose body on a small track,I have run and tested just about every body style out their and for me alot of them handle about the same,I have just stuck with the blunt/sloped style of looking at what body do I want to run.If a Stratus works so will the Vauxhal Astra,300M,Volvo S60,BMW M3,If the Alfa Romeo works so will the Vauxhall Vectra,Honda Accord,Acura RSX.

I agreed the dodge stratus is in the top but a the new Mazda 6 i2 ok as well.

Just ordered a HPI Stratus Aero 2 from my LHS today. Hopefully it'll get in in time for me to paint it and such for my first every 1/10th race next sunday.

Dodge Stratus and the Chrysler 300M are both good.

Protoform Dodge Stratus is with no doubt the best body for electric touring car. It is very balanced and the standard wing works good. The other bodies from Protoform such as Mazda 6, Alfa 2.0 and Vauxhall Vectra works great also.

Buy what you like !!!! half the people who worry about whether the stratus is better than the alpha aren't going to see the full benefits of either body !! Screw the hype , try and buy what appeals to you. Personally ,I'm sick of seeing so many stratus and alpha bodies. Try the NSX...it's good looking and unless you're Barry Baker, you'll probably have just as much luck. XXXcat had the best comment..." the track makes a big difference" no matter what. Tighter tracks allow you to run shorter, higher bodies(ie:a BMW). Longer ,sweeping tracks allow you to run lower, longer bodies (maybe a Saleen S7).
