Default IRacing

IRacing is awesome...!!!!

It's a lot of fun on the days when you can't get to the track.
It's a place to race other real racers not a place were all of the teen tuners hang out...

I tried iRacing last summer and it's very good!
The racing is pretty clean in the rookie season, but as soon as you drive in D class, the races will be even more cleaner.

Do you ever see this kind of driving racing simulator taking over your RC racing needs?

I know you can't wrench on a simulation racing game like you can wrench on your RC cars but it does have some +

No loading up the truck with all of your gear
No gas money just walk into the office and turn on the PC
No more hot summer days or cold winter days depending on your location.
No $20 entry fee
No parts breaking when you crash.

I agree IRacing is very good.

Live for speed is also a good simulator, but the community isn't that big. The physics are a little better tho and it's extremely cheap.

rFactor is another good racing sim. Doesn't have quite the car or track lineup of some of the others, but has a great physics engine.

I've been playing iRacing on and off now for over a year...great sim. Hands down the best physics in the sim world especially now with the new tire model (which is a work in progress). I just renewed this past Friday on the Black Friday sale

Obviously you haven't touched the modding community of rFactor, there are short course trucks to f1 cars for downloading. Even most of the tracks in the world, people have made.

No RC racing is a lot more fun for me. I meet new people, go to races with my friends, camp at the track, drink beers at night, ...
I love every aspect of RC racing, except the price

There's a lot of custom content for rFactor, but I don't really like. I prefer Live for speed or iRacing.

Virtual RC is pretty cool but I have a hard time paying a monthly subscription for something that to me isn't really multi-player. While there is a multi-player component to it, finding anything to do multi-player is pretty tough. When I log in there are no multi-player practice sessions open and the few times I have tried I haven't been able to qualify high enough to get into a race. Even if I did I don't know if I could make it to the race at the time they occur. VRC could probably benefit by having a race system more like iRacing with races happening on a regular schedule and everyone gets to race not just the top 80 or so qualifiers.

Vrc, is ok for play time, I did it for a month. I won't be renewing.

Been doing I racing for a while, but haven't raced in over a year, just practice sessions with buds. I enjoy both the oval and road courses.
