because if a wire comes undone in the race you've no chance of getting back on for your next one (if nobody lets you borrow theirs), also for taking off old brushes and replacing them with new ones

-Bring a good attitute
-good friends that can help
-spare parts and tires
-car tunning guide
-laydown towl
-good charger
-discharge tray
-good hex wrenches
-extra transmitter batteries
-food & drink
-have a good marshal at the locations you crash!

a light...no matter now bright the track might be, you can always use a pit light for the little set screws that love to roll off the table,ect.
