get the novak gt7....great esc and very similar specs to gtx but cheaper. it has been around for sometime so many are using it so you wont have much trouble for set-up and tech problems.

If your range isnt limited, i say go Keyence, I have never heard one bad thing about a keyence, the only thing is they are expensive. After that I would say gtx, I have had a few novak things before, and I would have to say its all top notch stuff. After that, Id got with a KO esc. I heard these are just as good or even better then the gtx. Then lastly i would say the LRP Quantum Competiton 2. These are decent, but I would rather get the ones above first then the Q2 .

Thats just my 2cents.

Definetly would go with the KO. Either the VFS-2000 or the new VFS-1. Gives you alot more tuning choices. Not to mention it is tiny.

KO PROPO VFS-1

I would NOT go with a GT7.They were a little weary on performance there for a while and had some "BLOW UP" issue's.
Keyence extreme or Rapida
Novak GTX
Tekin G10Pro+(If your needing for offroad this thing is AWESOME)
Will also fit in some onroad stuff.
LRP Q2(lifetime warranty)
KO VFS-1
All great esc's if money isnt a issue.
If your wanting to stay within a certain price let us know and we will try and name the BEST for that amount.
Goodluck.
I have since been picked up by Tekin. If you need a keyence extreme let me know.I have like 5 of them.

There are plenty of good ESC you will always hear 10 different suggestions from ten drivers it is always good to see what is being used at the local track that way you will always have someone that can help you in case you have issues.

Either get a ko vfs 2000 (if you can get one at a good price i'd get that) or get the ko vfs-1 with setting adaptor or a lrp quantum comp 1 or 2 (either one of these 4 speedos are very good).

Dude, don't fool yourself... Keyence is the best so forget the rest.
Check around, you won't find a single disappointed customer who bought one; as for the others, well...

Default esc

this might not be a fair story about a keyence speedo but, last sunday after our club race I had an undischarged pack so i slapped an 11x2 reedykr in my tc-4 to play a little. what i did not know was the motor had a loose mag.My speedo was a keyence zero extreme. the motor was locked(not when you turned by hand, only when it had power applyed to it.) i thought i had not wired it right so i pulled the trigger twice. on the second pull, i guess it got hot enough inside the speedo to short and it caught fire. I pulled the wires as fast as i could but the esc is burnt totally unrecognizable .
before that happened i had no complaints about that esc. other than it was a little complicated to program. I haven't had this experience with any other esc before so I don't know if any esc is designed to take that kind of load.

Sedanaddict....Im pretty sure that would have happened with any speedcontrol.....give the same situation.........psbarger.......Some of the reasons people like the keyence is that it has the lowest on resistance......there's also no need to run big clunky external power caps or shottky diodes with it.......it's pretty much infintly adjustable, unlike some of the others where your stuck with pre-set profiles to choose from.....and all programing can be done right from the unit....no need for a seperate device to program it........
