Both cars perform very good, with the T3 being a better performing car in my opinion. The difference in quality is big, which just proves that you get what you pay for. Associated don't sell their cars for $100+ less than Xray because they are doing you a favour- they do it because their cars are worth $100+ less.

I did this with my new "12" kit also, it was a small hit and bent every alloy piece in the front, $150 later and all was brilliant again.

HOWEVER I am a HUGE fan of Xray always have been, I raced Xray for 3 or 4 years before I quit for 6 and I have just started again and didn't hesitate to get another Xray, You can't go wrong.

You must know a lot of people that crash a lot and drive their cars under trucks because I have never bent one in my life and never seen one bent.

Unless there is someone selling parts for your car at the track you race on, a tc6.1 is a great idea. Not that i have broken anything yet, but for the price of an xray i was also able to buy the car plus the following spare's. All suspension arms/caster blocks/hubs, complete front spool , rear gear diff and outdrives, 2 spare CVA's, all belts and pulleys, front and rear shock towers...

Everyone said CVA bone blades brake so have 2 packets of them, but havnt broken one yet either.

Beth.

I never kept any spares for my old xray, other than c blade clips and steering knuckles.
I plan on doing the same for the one I have recently purchased.
I ran an AE car , before switching to Losi , then Xray. The Xray made the other two look like steaming piles of crap. Simply no comparison at all.
Those Great Wall utes coming into our country are cheap and do the job , but I would rather pay the coin for a Hilux. You get what you pay for and resale value reflects this too. My 2c.

I've had the good fortune of owning the TC6 and T3 2012 at the same time. I chose to run the Serpent S411 for too many reasons to list.

I switched from Xray to the S411 this season. I love the Serpent, I will say it is always a good idea especially
when new to have what others have at your local track so you can tap into there experience and knowledge.

I cant comment on Xray cars as ive never had one but all through this thread people keep acting like tc6.1's are cheap and break easy.
i think u guys are exagerating a bit...
Xray probably are a stronger car, and so they bloody well should be for the extra cash, but tc6.1's are by no means weak.
I am learning track driving with a tc6.1 at the moment and have had some absolutely brutal crashes and the only thing i have broken is an arm mount-which the kit already comes with spare - $9 for a new set if needed

I reckon ill need a new body before anything else breaks lol
